Hey you people. I’m thankful for all of ya. More than you’d know. The number of followers is not something i like to dwell on, but it’s kinda cool to know that 24.2 thousand of you think I’m worth watching. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my art. I’m just a girl who grew up with no confidence and had no place in the art world. i felt lost and had a deep sense of no purpose in life. i tried ceramics one time and from the moment i touched clay, i knew i found my thing. I’m a slow learner and i sucked for a long time and still have tons of room for improvement. NEVER did i think anyone would purchase this lousy stuff. Ive worked so so so hard. And it isn’t getting easier. But I’m so glad i did and i am so glad that i have the PRIVILEGE of continuing that hard work. Thanks to YOU. Love you. i pray and hope that you feel thankful today. Whenever I’m feeling hopeless and worthless, giving thanks for my blessings always gives me a kick in the rear and reminds me that i am SO blessed. You are blessed and i am thankful for you. 🍁🌲 JOY. <3 Alex.

Meet our #MCMember @jess.shima!
What is your fave thing about MC? It’s the best stress-relief. A way I can really unwind and I love all the things Merritt does for our community.
What are you currently working on in the studio? Japanese inspired pieces, lots of sharp angles and simplified shapes.
What animal do you identify with? Cat, duh!
Finished skulls from the after school program inspired by the half flesh half skeleton Artpiece in the exhibition.
Each week we choose a new sculpture to make inspired by the exhibition 💀💀💀

[ GIVEAWAY ] Many of you have asked me when I will start selling my ceramics, as much as I would like to do it, but these things can’t be rushed. For a simple coffee cup like this, it will take at least 2-3 weeks from a lump of clay to a finished product. I just finished my first term of the course, so I will have more time at home making more ceramics. And once I have the kiln installed and set up (hopefully this week) then I should be able to start firing my own ceramics, and hopefully I will have something pretty to share with you all.
For now, I’m more than happy to give away this beautiful coffee cup to one of you guys as a thank you gift for being so supportive.
I will try to keep it simple, just TAG a friend and FOLLOW this account. I will lucky draw a winner on Saturday, 2 December. Happy to ship internationally. So good luck! 😊
