This weekend I have not been the best #CHAARGgirl 😒 I took a trip home to see my family, went to see a lot of other family, ate a lot of dinners out, ++ took a day trip to Kennywood yesterday! It was very relaxing ++ fun, but the end of week 1 ++ the beginning of week 2 of the #chaargbootycamp have not been going as planned! Today I will be doing Friday's Tide Pool Tone, tomorrow I will do Monday's Periwinkle Pump, ++ finally on Thursday I will be catching up with the workout that is supposed to be done tomorrow! CAN I JUST FREAK OUT FOR A SEC ‼️ [⚠️warning: lengthy post comin your way ⚠️] I woke up this morning feeling pretty darn skippy ++ knew that whatever I was gonna do I was gonna kick major 🍑🍑. Last night I was thinking how I was gonna log my bolts for today bc I'm not in Chicago for the summer + running on the suburban nature trail isn't my jam, SO I came up with the idea of snatching my dad's duplicate set of car keys + ran to our local train station he drives to before work. I was a little nervous [not gonna lie] bc I stopped doing cardio for a while to build muscle even though running is my fav ++ had NO idea how long it would take or how far away it was, BUT I set a goal in my head ++ I CRUSHED IT 👊🏻👊🏻. I was able to run a little *over* 3 miles in *under* 30 mins + made it just in time for the train to arrive ‼️‼️even though I didn't need to take it, next time I'll know just what to do if I do 😉. Today I am feeling *beautiful*, STRONG, ++ VICTORIOUS + I hope you all CONQUER whatever it is you put your mind to!
Today I am focusing on all the things I love about my life. I have been feeling mentally drained after some relationship struggles ++ a scary situation at work but I have so much to be grateful for! >>a healthy body, an amazing job, ++ family + friends who support me

[shoulda posted yesterday but was too tired to type😂] The exec challenge for the week is to Prove Ourselves Wrong ++ i was inspired ! So I did some journaling ++ set two things I want to prove myself wrong on this week !
 I'm NOT a morning person : I always use to say I never was or will be a morning person. There are five things in this world that I love more than anything. Skating, my family, my friends ( + @chaarg ), Colombia, ++ sleeping. But this week + hopefully for the rest of the fitplan I'm gonna follow those steps to try to enjoy my mornings a bit more + not feel so rushed😊
 I'm NOT a runner. Boy do I hate running, I'm not even sure why but I've never been able to even get my mile time under 10 minutes 🤣 but it's such a good workout for your body that I've set myself out to complete at least one mile a day!

Good morning🌞 I went out of town this weekend to see a someone special so I took the weekend off + Monday to recoup from the long weekend. Today I woke up sluggish with not a lot of motivation for the gym. I try not to look at social media in the morning, but today was an exception. I got on here, looked at all you guys killing it, put my gym clothes on, + walked out the door. I'm so happy I got up and did it + I thank you all for the motivation!! I love morning walks ☀️Besides seeing these views, here are three ways I will make today great:
Don't hit snooze - I had already accomplished this when I created this list, but lately I've been having a really hard time getting out of bed (even after consistently getting 8+ hours of sleep). Then today, I jumped out of bed at the first alarm feeling energized for the day! I realized just how great it feels to wake up rested and ready, and not press the snooze button a million times.
Earn those bolts - I have a busy day ahead, with only a short break between work and meetings from 9am-4pm. When I get home I'll probably want to collapse on the couch, but I want to make sure to make time to exercise, even if it's just a walk to relax and decompress from the day.
Don't stress - I have a few work projects where I didn't make as much progress as I wanted to over the past week. I keep worrying that my supervisors will be upset, but today I will try to remind myself that it's a new week. I can start fresh, catch up on (or even rework) my project goals, and remember that I have plenty of time before the deadlines!

Three things that will make (or already have made) my day great!
1. Not hitting snooze ✅ I didn't feel groggy and had an extra 10 minutes!

Today will be great because... I will complete the H2GO work out, I will find time to read my book (Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? And Other Concerns), and I will be awarding my very first contract at work! Today didn't start off great, but I'm not going to let a little spilt coffee and waking up late ruin my day. Best part of morning runs? The viewssssss 💙 H2Go was tougher than I thought it'd be -- 15 sec sprints seem easy after 90 sec sprints but LOL 😂 // Even though I'm such a runner, I've always had this fear of running in the morning?? Yes, waking up at 5 AM sucks, but it's worth it when 1) you get your workout of the way + 2) it's so quiet you can think through all of your problems. My 3 things that will make my day great! Work makes me so exhausted that I just want to go home and go to sleep but every time lay on the couch it seems like I can't get up to do anything afterwards. For my second thing, I have been putting off laundry for a while and it would be nice to just get it done. And for my last one, I work at a camp and sometimes it gets so hard to keep my patience and to not get frustrated when things aren't going right but I would like to try to keep it together with a smile on my face today. @chaarg #chaargbootycamp#chaarg

So today Ive been doing a lot of thinking and with it being #CHAARGBootycamp time, I thought I would share. Someone recently told me about someone making very rude comments about my weight and body behind my back. Things like "Idk why she wears leggings when she has no ass to show off" and other very hurtful things. I have always been extremely sensitive when it came to my weight and the way I look. Since joining #akronchaarg I have made it a goal to overcome my own judgements of myself and truly try to love myself for who I am today while still working for who I want to be in the future, because honestly we are all a work in progress. But the hardest part about learning to love yourself is when other people try to stop you. So I will admit to you all, my first reaction was to maybe not say the nicest things about the other girl and to be absolutely furious for the rest of the day, but then I got to thinking that what she said does not change who I am and it does not change my goals, so why should I let it bother me? When it comes to accepting yourself, its not a group decision. It is a free world where people can say whatever they want, you just have to decide what is important enough to take in. So I am deciding now after this long vent to shake it off and keep wearing my leggings because I dont give a shit what anyone else thinks. Sorry for the rant and #chaargon#Chaarg
Today woke up early and did the workout + logged some bolts! Feeling great powering into week 2 with my new planner and decision to commit to #chaargbootycamp . I did this to feel more confident in myself and my involvement in #pennstatechaarg ! ⚡️[4/50]
Didn't take a pic today but it's a perfect excuse to share a favorite quote 😊 Got in my fitplan workout ++ a 12 mile bike ride! I plan everyday to workout in the AM but sometimes (like today) I sleep through all my alarms 🙃 NO WORRIES though because I make sure to take my gym bag with me to work so I can get in my sweat sesh after! I've managed to workout 6 days a week with this strategy so I'm thinking it's a keeper! Will I wake up tomorrow to my alarms or workout after work? Planned out week 2 of the #chaargbootycamp !! I hope to reach all of my goals this week ++ hopefully this routine will help me reach them!! My favorite way to organize my week is with my Outlook calendar! It's simple + quick with access from my phone + laptop! It also sends me daily morning reminders of what I need to do today! Throwback monday(?) to last Wednesday, #wearchaargwednesday at a waterfall near Cedar Grove Village in King's Canyon National park. I spent the past week pretty disconnected from technology and doing lots of hiking (and it was also my first time ever camping!) which was nice but now I'm back for #chaargbootycamp week 1, day 1 #loveyourselflift . I can't wait to get started! (Also I'm heading back to my first class since before the trip at @rushcycle_encinitas tomorrow at 5:30 and I can't wait! It's been too long)
Didn't get to workout today bc I was very busy with school work and class but i was very productive 😌 + I did write up a schedule for the week Sunday night while at work. I'm in desperate need of a new fancy planner so HMU if you know any good ones (that are not over like $25). Making lists is definitely one of my favorite ways to cope with stress and any apprehension that I'm dealing with at the moment. Can someone please tell me how the heck it is the last week of June already?! Summer is flying by and I am loving the theme for #chaargbootycamp this week: chasing the sunset. This week I am chasing the sunset and living every day through and through. I am with the babes 7a-5:30p and I go straight to beach yoga from there daily. Yoga is my latest pride and joy. I recommend it for anyone and especially if you are in Chicago, come with me!! I am still trying to figure out the calendar widget on DDS but hopefully get that up and running soon so you know where I will be practicing and when 🤗 When I came home, I completed the Periwinkle Pump aaand my arms feel like Jell-O - I am going to be lucky if I can move tomorrow: chasing two small children for 10 and a half hours, beach yoga, beach volleyball [my brick squad is currently up 3-0 🏆], and an arm workout is going to kick my booty tomorrow 🤷🏻♀️ I can honestly say I cannot get through a 14 hour day without my Pink Drink from @plexusworldwide - plant-based goodness that knocks coffee right out of the park. ALSO my favorite way to organize is by using a bajillion calendars. Like I have two planners, desk calendar + live by my Google calendar. I love my google calendar best because I can schedule in everything like homework, working out, food buuutt I don't always like to be on my phone which is why my planner is 🔑
So after being sick for half of last week and not having ANY motivation to do the work outs, I did the workout today and even convinced my mom to do it with me and I feel FANTASTIC 🙂 I also did the challenge of writing everything that I have to do this week in my planner (which is a life saver ALWAYS in my life) I love to keep myself organized by using my planner and crossing everything off that I've gotten done! Happy week 2 of #chaargbootycamp ! First workout of the week done, we didn't get that sweaty because it is quite chilly outside today, but I know our arms will be feeling that workout tomorrow!
Sidenote: We have never exercised outside really, prior to this bootycamp, but we quickly found that we love it! So we take FULL advantage of our beautiful Summer nights! Highly recommend outside workouts to anyone who usually stays indoors!
