Dinner! Chicken cooked in olive oil, fresh rosemary and purple basil, leftover zucchini and tomatoes and fettuccine alfredo. I always used to cook my chicken in olive oil, but for a while I was afraid of the extra calories, so I boiled my chicken instead. Now that I'm further along in recovery, I can actually cook my chicken the way I want to instead of the way ED tells me to! Also another recovery win tonight... As I was cooking the chicken I wasn't planning on having carbs with dinner. I came up with every excuse as to why I shouldn't need carbs, but then I remembered I had leftover fettuccine in the fridge. It would be so easy to heat up and add to dinner, so I didn't have the excuse of having to make something extra, so I did it! Carbs are an important part of my meal plan, yet I struggle with remembering that my body needs them. Tonight, I came out on top of my struggle! 💪🏼

Dinner! Tonight I had fettuccine Alfredo, beef brisket, and leftover zucchini and tomatoes. This meal was challenging so I'm sitting with some anxiety now, but it will pass! I'm deep breathing right now because I've found that's one of the easiest and best ways to deal with urges to purge.
threw together a super quick late lunch with some roasted rainbow carrots, 🥕 and a @traderjoes salmon burger on top of @silverhillsbakery bread with avo, 🥑 @betterbeanco cuban black beans & @freshthyme alfalfa sprouts! 😋 ••••• i woke up super early this morning (4AM) for work & feel like i need 4 meals instead of 3 today. i'm one of those people who has to eat shortly after waking up, so on days when i'm up early and can't get to bed until late, i find myself extra hungry. does this happen to anyone else?? 😅

Dinna noms👅 came home from a long day of work to my moms kale creation. I literally CRAVE this at school ALL THE TIME (well any cooked vegetable actually lol). .
3/4 cup vegetable broth
Chopped Kale (enough to fill the pan)
3 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp of olive oil
Dash of basil & black pepper to taste
1. Warm oil in pan then for about 2-3 minutes sauté the chopped tomatoes & garlic. Remove them into a separate bowl when done
2. Put the vegetable broth and kale into pan. Braise it for about 3-4 minutes or until broth somewhat disappears.
3. Add basil, black pepper or any other herbs of choice
4. Add the garlic & tomatoes back into the original pan with the kale & broth. Cook together for another minute
I also added @tribehummus bc I'm obsessed with hummus. Prolly could eat a whole tube in one sitting but I ain't complaining 😇(actually I have multiple times)

Was NOT planning on working out today prior to my last work shift today but got up and hit the gym for a quick run anyways early this morning. Headed down to Edgewater beach & then the Flats in CLE for a day with dad. Dinner was two tacos from @coastaltaco 🌮 I opted for the shrimp & chicken sans cheese or their cream sauces because of a lactose intolerance & corn tortillas rather than the typical flour. Had an actual family dinner tonight! My mom, dad, brother and I all sat down at the table and ate together, which hasn't happened in a while. I had a grilled brat on a fresh bun with mustard and horseradish, sautéed zucchini, tomato, onion and purple basil with mango fire cheddar cheese, and a side salad with lite ranch and balsamic vinegar.

Bedtime snack :) Pink lemonade cupcake! I shared it with my mom and it was delicious! I'm having a really rough night with ED thoughts and depression, but between talking to my mom and allowing myself to enjoy this sweet treat with her, things aren't so bad. I just need to keep myself calm and not go overboard now that I've eaten it and tell myself it's okay.

These farmer's market tomatoes are freakin' BOMB 😍 I did my weekly grocery trip today and only spent $60 for two people! Saturday days are for the waffles am I right??? These dark chocolate chip + raspberry waffles were SO SO SO good! I made them with 1/2 cup of oats + 1 banana + 1 egg + 1 tsp of baking powder + a splash of almond milk + a drop of vanilla. Mix it up in the blender and pour into a waffle maker and drop a few chocolate chips in before closing the lid (++ then eat a few while you wait for the waffles to be done) Top with some crushed up raspberries and you have heaven on Earth! #msuchaarg#chaargeats#cleaneating#healthyrecipes#healthyfood

Dinner tonight! I had a burger with pork, BBQ sauce and onions, and a side salad with creamy garlic dressing. ED wanted me to get something safer, but I went against him and got this because it sounded good, and it was! I just ate half of the burger because that's what met my meal plan. I definitely ate the candy that was on the side though! Also, funny story, I was drinking Diet Coke tonight, and the first one I drank super fast so the server brought me a refill. I took a sip and thought it tasted different. So I took another sip, still weird and I freaked out inside that it wasn't diet. I wanted to immediately ask my friend to try it to confirm it was regular coke instead of diet, but every time I do that my friends laugh and are like no it's definitely diet. I have a tendency to freak myself out a lot about "what if it's not diet!" So I continued drinking it, my anxiety was steadily increasing with each sip. There's no way it was diet and I knew it, but so many times before I thought I knew it wasn't diet and ED easily could've been playing one of his tricks. Finally, halfway through I caved and asked my friend to try it. Turns out, I was right! It definitely wasn't diet. Even though I immediately asked the server for diet instead, the fact that I made it halfway through a regular coke without stopping drinking it or asking for someone else to try it is a huge recovery win, and I didn't even restrict my meal to compensate!

I'm sorry. HOW is that something any of us deserve? I'm not talking about ALL jobs here... but MOST of them... come on you guys. You deserve SO MUCH MORE than working your ass off for the next 40 years so that someone else can live their dream.
If you're going to work your ass off, why not do it for YOU?! I'm doing both right now and let me tell you... it's getting harder and harder every day to drag myself out of bed every day for a paycheck that just "gets us by." It's so hard because I KNOW that in the not-too-distant future I'll be setting my own hours and working when and where it works for me - NOT on someone else's schedule. 🙄
I found a business that works for me because I'm PASSIONATE about health, fitness, and helping others. I BELIEVE in and have experienced firsthand the positive changes these things have brought into my life. I get to pay that forward, and I LOVE helping people change their lives in the same way I have!
Friends.... listen to me. I'm not going to congratulate you for "getting a job" unless it's a REALLY REALLY cool job that is genuinely fulfilling your life's purpose and passion... but if you just bought into another cubicle scheme for the sake of getting a paycheck, I'm sorry but that sucks bro ✌
