I always want to know what is going to happen, but I've learned I can't control everything that happens in life. Therefore I keep this quote in the back of my head: "There is no point in consistently worrying. What will happen will happen regardless." 💚⚡️

Today's Insta challenge -- *do something that scares you*: so one of my summer jobs is in a candy shop near my house, + the owner allows the workers to eat small pieces of fudge // chocolates whenever we want. I don't eat a lot of that stuff because I'm lactose intolerant + have a sensitive stomach [it doesn't react well to highly sugary stuff] but today I said *screw it, I want fudge, + hell yes I'm allowing myself to have some!* Granted, they were all small sample sized pieces, + I would never eat anything to the point of getting myself sicks, but it's more than I would have allowed myself a year, even a few months ago unless I had run 8 or more miles that morning + *earned it*. Yesterday for my solo date I got lunch at my favorite spot followed by a pedicure after getting 5 more bolts ⚡️. Today I walked 5 more miles in the rain and now I'm treating myself to chicken salad and spinach on a tortilla with an avocado with roasted red pepper flakes and pepper 😋😋. This fitplan is going pretty well so far. This was low key taken after I had already started eating and ruined it's gorgeousness BUT last breakfast in Colorado😍 scrambled eggs, roasted black beans, avocado, and a treat-Yo-self side of hashbrowns (still treating myself for the monster hike I did💁🏼) Feeling full and ready to get out on the road and start this 18 hour drive back home :) ALSO: pretty jazzed that @carson_in_chaarg and I have some studios to put down on the calendar...this semester can't come fast enough! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 •

#TrainingTuesday workout: I did not have access to a treadmill [+there was definitely no running outdoors], so I decided to use my resources wisely to get my cardio in. I am reallllly dependent on running -- I hardly ever go to the gym without hitting the treadmill. So I decided to face my *gym fear* of other cardio workouts ++ tried a stair workout I found on the internet. It was definitely different, but it got my heart rate up ++ worked my legs in a new way. I am going to try to incorporate different forms of cardio into my routines.

If you know anything about me, you probably know that I've always struggled with my relationship with food. I have never been thin + I was often bullied growing up for my size. That HURTS + it sticks with you for a lot longer than people probably think. Struggling with your body mind relationship is hard on every day life.
We have 100% control of what we put into our bodies, so why is it so difficult to make the right choice?
During the school year, I usually get very stressed out + end up binge eating, feeling guilty + falling into a really awful pattern or cycle where this can continue for a couple of weeks.
Food should not be looked at for comfort, but as fuel to my body which I try to preach, however, we don't always practice what we preach.
During the summer I do really well with staying in track because I have more time to cook my meals + buy healthy groceries. My mom taught me how to cook at a young age + I'm very blessed for that, which makes me even more in control because I know exactly what ingredients I'm using in my meals.
Throughout these six weeks of #chaargbootycamp , I'm hoping to really work on my mentality towards fitness. I've been an athlete for years + sometimes I feel like my body is still trying to recover from how poorly I treated it in high school.
I have never been one to restrict myself, but make healthy + aware choices.
Ask yourself before you eat, "is this going to help me or hurt me?"
Made one of my fave dinners tonight for #chaargbootycamp Day 2! So easy, yummy, filling and I always double it so I have plenty of leftovers!! Didn't meet all my goals today as my schedule ended up waaay crazier than expected, but tomorrow is a new day!!😊 Normally I'd beat myself up over it, but this time around I am focusing on the journey as a whole, with all the ups and downs! One of my go to smoothies: dark chocolate almond milk, peanut butter, banana, vanilla Greek yogurt, and ice! Sooooo yummy. You could also put a cafe latte type coconut water in this instead. Loving bootycamp so far and really making myself do every workout! #chaargbootycamp#chaargeats#chaargexec
