At LDInc, we are so fortunate that our boss is also a true leader! Dr. Brown works tirelessly, serving as a leader, role model, and mentor to our agency. Her giving spirit and passion for providing quality services to our communities is an inspiration and we are so grateful to her!
Anneliesee of @spoonandhook is a brave woman. When she was just 16 she went to live on her own because that is what life handed her. When she finished school she started carving wooden spoons because that is where her heart led her. After her first spoon she declared to whomever would listen, “‘I’m a woodworker.’ I’d only made one spoon. I set it up so that there was no way but to do it. I put myself in such a position that that’s all I could do. I’ve never felt so much conviction that this is what it is has to be. This is what I have to be.” And that is what she became. Why? Because, as she says, “I just realized that I’d never done anything for myself. I’d never fallen in love with myself. I’d never fulfilled anything that I really, genuinely wanted to do. And I just thought I’ve got to do what I love.”
Now she does what she loves every day and she gets paid for it. She sells her wooden wares locally and around the world. She carves out of sustainably harvested wood and creates the most magical of household items. You can read about her daily routines, where she gets her ideas, the best advice she’s ever received, and the kind of spoon she hopes to make for Shaq and Ellen DeGeneres over here: http://thecreativityhabit.com/project/anneliesse-mckee/
Proud to announce the launch of the Sacred Land Film Project website. These films tell the inspiring stories of indigenous peoples fights to protect their sacred sites and cultures from destruction. The site is also an amazing resources of knowledge for people studying and supporting efforts like these.⠀
A bright spot in our smokey eyes today.

I love this! And, I totally agree. Sitting on the sideline doesn't gather you courage. Getting out and dancing is where all the fun (and learning!) is! AND where all the fun people are!
Thank God it's Monday ❤️
Bist Du dabei? 🙌
Let's say that you have an aspect that you want to create in your life, bigger than monthly or yearly intentions, it anchors in one of your major quadrants of life. It has to do with how you always handle certain situations. Healing this means your entire life would change. You want it but your actions are not aligned to creating the desire.⠀
The Universe hears your intention & you tune into your Akash, just beginning to awaken subtle parts & aspects of yourself. You start to do things that you would have NEVER done before. Now that you are Soul guided, you go for it. There's part of your consciousness that's awakened and it can't be turned off.⠀
You go on about your life, trying new things, but some patterns are continuing to repeat. You are hitting some of those monthly & yearly goals to find that they aren't satisfying after all.⠀
That's when the new trajectory begins ... where you begin to break down illusions ... where resistance sets in, fight or flight rears its ugly face ... ⠀
You feel like your walls are crumbling, the world is shaking and there's no amount of positive affirmations or action, gentle or pushed, that can change it. You set this in motion with your intention, at the moment of your Akashic Awakening, and there's no turning back ... ⠀
Because your heart is open, support moves in through the discomfort. There's peace and a trust within you that was never there before. Mindset shifts begin to happen, miracles flow, people show up for you in ways you never imagined, YOU show up for YOU in ways that you never imagined. Your Higher Self starts to REALLY communicate with you. ⠀
You begin assembling the puzzle pieces ... the reason your world was shaken was that it was the only way for you to fully wake up. Contrast, dissonance, discomfort ... that's what the deconditioning process FEELS like.⠀
Everything you're asking for right now, it might not be aligned, and that's okay because if you are on the Soul healing journey, you will manifest these things and realize that they are not for you. It's how it works for the awakened ones. The breakaway from conditioned behavior may never be easy and that's okay too. You will manifest what you
"Marriage is such a strong tradition in India. Intercast and interreligious marriages are already evolving. There is a generation which feels that cast is important. But in large parts of India, especially in Bangalore where I come from or metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai, cast is becoming completely irrelevant. It's still there in small towns in rural India. In many parts of the country, people have started bothering and over time I think it will fade away. For example, a hundred years ago, it was impossible for a Brahmin to have an intellectual and emotional relationship with a Dalit girl. It was not part of the mindset or in the realm of possibilities. This has changed now. More social spaces where people can interact are accessible for all. Social change takes time. Forcing it in a certain way in India always backfires. If we see the evolution process and the organic way of development, where people accept the change, then it becomes part of life over a period of time. For a country like India, it's a better way of dealing with those things. We create the right environment where that change can happen. Some people will start living in this changing society and others will distance themselves from it."

We all know what is right for us. Sometimes we let fear get in the way. However as my good friend and teaching partner @johndavisi says, the miracle is right on the other side of the fear. #gay#gayspirit#gayspirituality#rosaparks

As we focus this month on showing up to make a meaningful impact, I’m excited to share the story of one of my friends and fellow changemakers, Tiffani Sharp. She is an Immigration Attorney and Founder and Executive Director of Willow Tree Roots @willowtreeroots, an international NGO whose mission is to empower women in developing nations to achieve socioeconomic independence through entrepreneurship. In this month’s Millennial Spotlight episode, Tiffani goes deep into how Millennials can make a difference and impact the world.⠀
In this Millennial Spotlight, Tiffani shares how…⠀
* To get involved on any level to make an impact⠀
* Travel helps expand your perspectives and experiences⠀
* Millennials have a strong desire to connect in creative ways⠀
* To be globally-oriented and engaged in our diverse world⠀
* To make genuine connections across cultures, beyond social media⠀

We often publish blog posts from our global network about gender based violence and harassment. Many in our network have also joined the #MeToo campaign to highlight the magnitude of sexual harassment and assault. "If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote "Me too." as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem."
Yuk, belajar bijak atas makanan. Ambil secukupnya, lalu kenali sendiri kadar asupan yang sanggup kita konsumsi. Kenapa?
Karena setiap manusia berhak atas makanan yang baik, entah itu dari kecukupan porsi maupun asupan nutrisi.

Marked for life
Be brave. How generic. But is it? How simple can it be. It’s clear, brief, and precise as @allymaz would put it. And it’s been my consistent mantra over the last 6 months. When my Pop (grandfather passed), I was sitting with my Nan with tear filled eyes, and so much fear for her (and her future w/out him) in my heart. After 63 years of marriage, and a lifetime of love, she simply looked at me and said
“be brave Bobbi”.
Putting myself out there to the public through yoga in my communities has been the most rewarding, but scary endeavours of my life. The support that comes through, the stories, and the simple fact that I can make change happen for someone (mind/body/spirit) is extremely humbling.
My @girlvanayoga teacher training this weekend solidify my Dharma, helped me connect back to my teen girl self, and re-centred my passion for healing tools.
...I have soooo much to share with all of you so please BE BRAVE, and show up for yourself in all forms this week. Know I’m here, open, and accessible to each and every one of you.
Come find me.
