Two different btwist take off methods: first method is the heel to toe method which allows the athlete to kick higher and invert more to a more horizontal position. The “pop” method allows the athlete to start the twist earlier. Although the first method looks better, it seems harder to connect to other jumps, whereas, the second method allows you to open up earlier and transition more easily to other jumps and it requires less effort. Also, asthetically, the first method looks better because of the inversion but according to the IWUF rules the btwist has to be at least 45 degrees to count as valid. Anyways, I did this at the end of the session so my apologies for sole of the technical mistakes (legs open and not pointing toes) but I hope this is useful for some of u guys... what do u guys thinks? Basics training in Taipei Sports University. For this exercise, the point is not the movement itself. It is to focus on using the hips to switch position. Many Wushu players don’t use their hips, even if it’s one of the very basic of Wushu ! Basically, you can do 6 round trip over the carpet at first. Don’t need to be quick, point is to use the hips !
