I slept for a day and a half, and by the time I woke... when I left the Torre, he was there - sitting high on his horse with the brace, just waiting... I was surprised to see him... we spent that day together, the day celebrated to honour Tehome. He went with me to see my patients, one such was a young mother who suggested that Chaol and I... but no.
I showed him the city afterwards and... I must admit that in those few hours I spent with him in the city, I had fun...
Review of Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas: 3/5 🌟
Unpopular opinion time 😕
This book took me forever to finish (nearly 2 months). I kept setting it aside to read other books, which usually doesn’t happen with fantasy novels for me. I felt like I could tell at which point in the writing process (at about page 150) Maas decided she wanted to turn this into a novel instead of a novella as originally planned. And honestly? I think this novel was way too long. Some things happened in this installment that I feel are important to the overall story, but didn’t necessitate an almost 700 page novel. Chaol has always been one of my favorites but I got bored quickly with him as a character and his and Yrene’s instalove in this one. I will definitely finish the series but can’t see myself rereading this one as I’ve done with the others. (Also, spine view because I don’t really like the cover 🤦🏽♀️) Anybody else read this one?
I'm at that point in the semester where exams are around the corner and I won't have much time to read :( but it's my goal to finish the Throne of Glass series before the new year so I can start to put together my 2018 TBR. ❤📚 Also does anyone else feel like Mort is an underrated character in ToG?? 😂
A gift from a queen who had seen another woman in hell and thought to reach back a hand. With no thought of it ever being returned. A moment of kindness, a tug on a thread." - Sarah J. Maas, Tower of Dawn
I love this book so much! Those quotes I ran across while looking for one for today made me tear up! Such a masterpiece of a book, just like all of other ones from Sarah 😍 I hope TOG7 will end well too, and I am very hyped up for #acofas as well! As always, Sunday = chem protocol, so I'm currently working on that, while my precious carranam, who's my blessing is soothing my nerves and puts up with my rants. I love her for that ❤️🙏🏼
What are you more excited for? ACOFAS or ToG7? 😍
Have a wonderful day lovelies 💖
