Few things make me as happy as loading the #Longarm with any creation made by @muchlovequilts I always sense it’s going to be beautiful when she delivers it but when it’s all laid out you really get to see the incredible talent and love that goes into her work! #selflessartistry#charityquilt#quilts
Between baking I am piecing the #SewIMQs#charityquilt for #quiltcon2018 . It is interesting to see how it comes together with blocks made by different hands. Also interesting how similar they can end up, as noted by the second picture! ☺💞

This salvaged quilt is ready to quilt. It has a long and tragic history... poorly planned, salvaged, cut apart again, and salvaged again. It’s ready to move on to it’s new future. @emeraldcoastmqg #charityquilt
We’ve been quietly busy here at QFC headquarters— and there are SIX quilts headed out today! That brings us to TWENTY quilts for the year so far! Woohoo! 🎉 However, we are very low on finished quilts and out of shipping funds. PLEASE click the link in our profile and give today! 💛
Finally completed a charity quilt top using the orphan blocks and packet I picked up from September’s @portlandmqg meeting. Such a good challenge to figure out how to make them fit together! I made a courthouse steps block and some flying geese - super happy about those points!! My husband described it as “hygge,” which ranks as the best compliment ever. Hope the recipient feels the hygge too!!
My #charityquilt number 6 for 2017 is completed, and thereby my goal for the year is reached. Now my local hospital has received 20 quilts from me all together over the years I have been quilting. I will continue providing quilts for the children's ward in the years to come.
Even though this #orphanblock quilt was almost done, it's still a nothing short of a miracle for it to be finished for tomorrow's @thelinusconnection meeting. I have a house guest, have given up my sewing room for the next couple of weeks, my son is coming home tomorrow, and we'll have one more guest by tomorrow as well. In between running a million errands and getting my house ready, I've been sneaking in a little binding time here and there. My fifteenth #linusconnection anniversary is tomorrow and even though I can't be there for the entire meeting in person, I wanted to make sure to have a #quilt ready to turn in for a kiddo in need. Most, if not all, of the blocks in this sweet quilt were made by @archerpren. Swipe to see the finished quilt. #quiltforgood#charityquilt

Today at @eastwoodpatchworkquilters quilt group we made 13 baby quilts and 52 tops to donate to 3 local maternity hospitals for families who lose a baby. Sad but satisfying work #babyquilt#quilters#patchwork#charityquilt
We got a final view of the two absolutely amazing guild charity quilts made for prior Quiltcons during our sew-in while we were working on this year's quilt. Labels are now attached (thanks @bekybran for the awesome labels) and now they will be donated to our charity. Did you know they each won a ribbon at the NC State Fair? #trianglemqg#charityquilt
Look ma! No hands!
First time on the long arm at @techshopchandler .
Lots of lessons learned already and only 1/4 way through First #charityquilt#phxmqgcharityquilt
Linear quilting on a quilt not aligned properly shows. A lot. Don’t move the tension bars WHILE the machine is quilting. I should probably relearn what to do when the bobbin runs out ‘cause what I did isn’t pretty. Enjoy the adventure!
I finished something!! This #charmsquarequilt started at our #reliefsociety#visitingteaching conference as a #charityquilt project - all the sisters signed their names on a square and I volunteered to make the quilt. Somehow the squares ended up in the bottom of my -ahem- somewhat immense - scrap basket and I forgot all about it. 😳For months (or maybe a year... or more.) The guilt finally got to me and at last the quilt is finished - labeled and everything. The sisters in our RS voted to give it to #ronaldmcdonaldhousecharities ... which we will do for this year's #lighttheworld Celebration. It feels good to have something completed.
Charity quilt done. I learned a lot by trying new free motion quilting patterns on this one. 1: Using double polyester batting really made it fluff up GOOD 2: I used red thread on top and white in bobbin. BAD. I couldn’t get the tension right. White thread showed up on top or red showed up on bottom. Grrrrr I will not use two different colors of thread again. 3: free motion quilting around the trucks made them puff up really cute. GOOD. 4: Riley Blake chevrons work well in binding. I like how it looks like “caution tape” GOOD. #charityquilt#ronaldmcdonaldhouse#itfeelsgood
Sweet Erica is a longarm quilter in north Houston, and drove all the way into downtown on a Saturday evening to bring us 10 quilts to distribute this week. Y’all, #quiltsofcompassion is made up of thousands of people who love others well. It’s such a blessing to get to meet them. ❤️❤️❤️ #charityquilt#quiltsforharvey#quiltsforthesouth
A bit of a change from my normal brighter items. This is 34” x 42” and should make a decent wheelchair quilt. A friend gave me some 9 patches and a few 1 1/2” strips and I took it from there. @shannonfraserdesigns this is what I was talking about for size. Tucks around your body but isn’t too long. #scrapquilt , #charityquilt ,#sewyourstash , #wheelchairquilt
Finished an hour glass quilt for our mission work -- Barium Springs home for children. We have 80 quilts ready for Quilt Sunday on November 19, 2017. Swipe to see the back -- fabric by Kaffe Fassett. Pattern is super easy hour glass from MSQC #charityquilt#msqcshowandtell
