Yoga and Breakfast 🤗👌
Best way to kick off Mental Health Awareness Week 💜💛💚💙
We've ticked off two steps of wellbeing.
Connect + Be Active 💪👊 Today we connected to others, while yoging together at the same time we connected to ourselves.
We had amazing food all together. Meeting new people and catching up with our old friends 🤗
Mental Health Awareness menu is followed by Lunch time class 12-1 pm at Ara Institute. Open to ANYONE!
Over the last 13 months I have learnt that I do not need to deal with pain by myself. That I can reach out for my friends and that I can be there for them too. I've learnt that I am not alone when I feel overwhelmed. Running a social enterprise is my passion, working with youth and the community is what feeds my soul however there are times that this can be stressful, but knowing that I have a beautiful support network makes it all easier.
Yogis and non yogis. You are not alone and your stress or anxiety does not define you.
Let's start the conversation.
Sending love to you all!
See you at 12pm
😍 Yogi love ❤
💙Troy and Clo 💜
The beautiful faces behind @bacon_brothers_co
I have a special love for these two. Apart from being extremely kind and incredible people they are real.
I was talking to a good friend last night about that. About being real. Showing our flaws and embrace them, instead of pretending.
Troy and Clo are committed to invest in their love making sure they do something for themselves everyday.
It is hard when these kids work 100000 hours a week, but so far so good! Yoga with me is part of their routine, even when tired they show up, and to support each other they hold each other, like in the photo.
They are practicing kindness to each other and trying really hard to balance work and life, I think they do awesome, they probably don't give enough credit to each other.
Clo and Troy are one of my favourite couples ever! Their love is so fresh and funny, they are real to each other and to anyone on their path. I have learnt so much from them already. This is the kind of love I seek for, the real one, the raw one, the kind one. No pretending, allowing themselves to be who they truly are. It is what I stand by in any relationship, romantic, friendship even when it comes to business.
Thank you for teaching me so much while I am teaching you.
Thank you for your support and unconditional friendship and love.
Love you both so much!
So much love 😍 of the good one!
PS: Make sure that the ones that you love know it today! Friends, partners, family... and if you think that you already told them. Remind them! 🙏

Sometimes we can get so caught up in our goals that we don't stop to see how far we've come 🦄
This time last year I was preparing for my big trip to Bali to do my yoga teacher training. I was shitting my pants over it and thought about not going often. The day before I left I was so terrified I couldn't stop crying! It's so funny to me now because that trip was such a pivotal point of my life and everything has changed since I got back 🦋
Almost a year on from Bali and I'm living the life I imagined over four years ago. I get to share my passion with others and connect with so many different people from all walks of life. I feel so lucky to be able to do that 🙏🏽
Sometimes I feel like I'm flailing about madly and nothing is moving or changing because I keep moving my goal posts. We often achieve a goal and then quickly move onto the next one without taking the time to appreciate our achievement. Then it feels like we aren't getting anywhere.. we feel bogged down and can lose our momentum. When I stop and actually see just how far I've come it makes me not only happy and content but also motivated and excited for the future. Make sure you take a moment to celebrate your achievements today, no matter how small 😊
Holy crap I turned 30 today!! 😱
In honour of my b'day I thought I would share a couple of hilarious photos from my childhood (scroll across)! The second photo, circa 1987, six months old. No I'm not wearing a wig, that was my real hair, my mum had to start cutting it at three months because it was growing over my eyes!! The last photo was from 1990 rocking a serious 90s power fringe (thanks mum). Also for fun I'm going to share ten random facts about myself 😋. .
🎂I can count to ten and say basic greetings etc in five languages - English, Maori, Korean, French and Thai. But I am only fluent in English.
🎂Rain on the roof is my favourite sound.
🎂My death row last meal would be lasagna with a side of french fries.
🎂I cry every time I watch The Simpsons movie, twice! Once when Marge leaves Homer and again when they make up.
🎂I am possibly Hugh Grants biggest anti-fan. I really can't stand that guy! 😂
🎂I pestered my mum into taking me to a martial arts class after watching The Karate Kid in the early 2000s. That's how I got started in Taekwondo.
🎂I did my degree in Biological Sciences with an endorsement in ecology. I'm passionate about conservation biology and evolutionary biology.
🎂I was a very keen scuba diver and had just got my license only to find out I have an ear condition that prevents me from doing it anymore - that's how I found SUP Yoga!
🎂I hardly drink alcohol at all. Not for health reasons although that's a plus - There is such a huge drinking culture in NZ that often, rather than explain myself, I pretend to drink by sitting on one beer for ages or disguising soda as booze to avoid all the questions and peer pressure.
🎂My celebrity crush is and always will be Leonardo DiCaprio, dad bod and all 💜
Thanks to those who read this whole post! Also thank you and welcome to my new friends! If you want to share some random facts about yourself tag me in the post, I would love to learn about you guys! 💚 .
✨Without darkness, we cannot see the light.. ✨
I pondered this as I drove home from my class this morning. Everybody goes through hard times, some more so than others, but it really shows your true strength of character in how you move past/through/around the layers of bullshit we often find ourselves in.
Thinking about this made me feel incredibly grateful for all the hardships and heartaches I've dealt with over the years. I feel like I know true happiness because I have visited the darkest and most hopeless depths of my being, only to come out the other side to find the light once more.
Then I began to feel pity for those who live their lives in constant happiness - how can one know true happiness if you have never felt true pain or heartache? Is their happiness real or superficial? Or flipping my perspective, am I missing something here? Is it possible to be happy all the time without the opposing force of pain and suffering and it still be real?
I don't know, I don't have the answers, got a lot of questions it seems though haha 🙄
Learning to balance while my friends kick each other in the background - I have only recently moved away from the wall with this pose and am so stoked when I'm able to find a few seconds of balance, feels like I'm flying! 😊 I've been struggling with social media lately, feeling very uninspired and I often feel like the things I want to post are boring or won't be inspiring to others. Is there anything you guys would like to see more of? I hope to start posting more of my Taekwondo stuff soon. I have taken a bit of a hiatus from training while recovering from a virus but should be back into it in a couple weeks. I'd just like to take a sec to thank you all for supporting my journey and my account - it really means a lot! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week 🙏🏽 Super cute pants from @boho.nation which I am now selling! If you would like a pair, send me a dm ⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️#yoga#yogi#yogapose#balance#armbalance#pincha#pinchamayurasana#breathe#meditate#om#namaste#tkd#taekwondo#taekwonyogi#blackbelt#teacher#martialarts#wmma#nzyoga#chchyoga#chch#kiwi#nz#newzeland#aotearoa
A little late to the party with my #2016bestnine 😬 Thank you so much to everyone who follows, supports, likes my posts, attends my classes - I truly love this community I have found myself a part of 🙏🏽It takes me a while to process the year and really reflect on it and now that I've done that I can say 2016 was one of the best and one of the worst years of my life. It was long and challenging and heartbreaking and amazing and rewarding.. I kicked my anxiety medication to the curb, I faced my fears and travelled to Indonesia alone to chase my dreams, I met amazing people, I suffered from a virus that still is kicking my ass a bit, I went through some deeply personal shit and had to continue on as usual while I was breaking inside, I loved my friends and family more than they will ever know, I felt their pain when they were suffering, one of my best friends hubby beat cancer, my other best friend had her first child, I got closer to achieving my dreams than ever before. 2016 taught me to face my fears, to answer negativity with love and kindness, to never give up, that forgiveness is hard whether it be directed at yourself or someone else. But most importantly it taught me to take things one day at a time, one moment at a time, one breath at a time. Looking forward to what this year brings and the lessons that come along with it. So much love to you all and all the best for 2017!! 💞✨💞✨💞✨💞✨💞✨💞✨💞✨ #2016bestnine#yoga#yogi#martialarts#tkd#taekwondo#blackbelt#teacher#ytt#bali#travel#fitness#fitnessjourney#wmma#kiwiyoga#nzyoga#chchyoga#kiwi#nz#chch#newzeland#aotearoa#love#meditate#reflect#om#namaste

Laura 😍💕 I love Laura 😄 hehe she started yoga with me 10 months ago and even though she is very flexible already she told me that her strength is improving with the practice.
When I asked Laura why she came back; she said because I love you 😍 naaaaaw sometimes we are so cheesy 😂
But then I asked her for real, what made her coke back, buy herself a beautiful yoga mat ( that is actually upside down in the picture ). She said that seeing herself getting stronger and being able to flow and move from a plank to a low plank was powerful mostly when you feel it and you know you are doing it right.
Laura is awesome she dislike very much crescent lunge 😂 so after she come back from a little break away from me and yoga . . . I changed my sequence and we pretty much did a crescent lunge class to welcome her back 🙈🙊 ( she found out last night that I changed the sequence 😆 🙈) ... See the full bio on Facebook 😄
Yoga together is much better! 💕😍 Thank you yogis for playing with me! For always allowing me to make the class different and fun, it is the yogis in the room that create the class and I love the energy in our classes!
