I've had a tough few days- between the death of a relative, a crappy ex boyfriend and now getting sick, it's been tough to stick to things. It's why it's not enough to just eat things that are healthy, but to find healthy foods that you love. I had ice cream last night because sometimes you need ice cream, but I got a small cup. Breakfast this morning was two faves of mine, and a cup of very sweet coffee, because lifestyles weren't made in a week and they can't be broken in a week either. #lifestyle#healthylifestyle#food#diet#weightloss#cleaneating#cheatmeals#breakfast
Trust me, I've tried 😓
Diet is the one thing you have control over that DIRECTLY effects your results - yet it is the one thing people are not willing to compromise.
The problem is the association we have with the word "Diet". We immediately think "restriction", "suffering", "hunger", etc - which pushes us away from doing it at all.
The number one key to dieting is finding something you can sustain for life.
If you can't picture yourself eating a certain way a year from now, don't expect for it to work. Period. You will relapse back.
Find the foods you love and find a way to fit them into your total calories and macronutrients that meet your fitness goals.
Avoid binging, cheat days, and cheat meals all together. They don't any benefit you in anyway and will make you gain all the weight you lost during the week. .
💪🏽Enjoy The Journey 💪🏽
Other than a quick snippet to get you through Hump Day, this is about the journey!
Many people get so caught up in getting to the destination that they completely overlook and forget about the journey! How each week is a milestone that you achieved, each week is another step closer to your goal! I have to keep reminding myself to enjoy the process, enjoy getting lean, enjoy being lean and don't throw it all away! Easier said than done as all I want to do is eat massive burgers! But you spend so much time getting there, at some point you need to reflect back and what you've accomplished...
I'm going to make peak week all about reflection, and just the pure fact and enjoyment of being the leanest I've ever been, attaining my goal! I also have to remind myself that I'm doing this comp with my fiancé @jesseytelfordfitness and that's all that matters! Win or Lose, just be happy with the journey and all the lessons it's taught you! --------------------------------------------
Meal Prep was on point today. These were just my snacks #overnightoats#greensmoothie
I received my #Biometric results today, and they were #awesome ! We get them every year at work, and my results today were the best in the last 3 years. This was a comprehensive report that measured Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL Cholesterol, Cholesterol / HDL Ratio, Pancreas Health, Glucose, Waist Circumference, Body Mass Index, and Blood Pressure. All were Healthy, and showed improvements from last year. 😁 In addition, this has been the lowest weight I have been since I had my son over 14 years ago.
We often take our health for granted until something bad happens to us or a loved one. My family has a history of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, heart attack, stroke, cancer, etc. Often times we rely on medication to keep up us healthy.
Our health is our wealth. We have one body, so we really should take care of it. I attribute these results to nutrition. Of course, I have always promoted #fitness and living an active lifestyle, however nutrition plays such a big part of it. Generally, I have been pretty healthy diet wise (lean protein and low carbs). However, last month I have changed my #diet and have been transitioning to a #plantbaseddiet
Am I completely Vegan……no! It’s not for everybody. I have grown up eating all sorts of meat and fish. I have also been taught to always eat what is served to me and not to waste food. It’s hard to disregard that so I still practice the 80 /20 rule. Otherwise, I would starve at my family functions. So I am #vegan / #vegetarian about 80 to 90% of the time, and the remainder is for #cheatmeals with family.
It’s all about #moderation . #health#fitness#nutrition#vegetarian#plantbased#blessed#ourhealthisourwealth#itsalifestyle#alliswell#thankful#grateful#september2017

INN N' OUT 🍔🍟🤤
One of my favorite places for a cheat meal is @innout
This isn't all my food no, don't doubt that I couldn't eat all of it though 😂
What's your favorite go to for a Cheat Meal?
There's no kidding ourselves that every single one of us loves indulging in food that tantalises our taste buds but at the same time we might be trying to be conscious of our health and wellbeing. So commonly you will hear gym folk incorporating these naughty foods in to there life as "cheat meals". Now personally I love pizza, milkshakes and cheesecake and as such I'm going to eat them! And I encourage you to eat the food you love because we need to remind ourselves we are human sometimes. We can't just eat "rabbit food" and be happy! Food needs to be fun and exciting and we must look forward to it because when we don't, thats when we tend to divert off track and over indulge in unhealthy food setting ourselves back by sometimes weeks worth of training. What I recommend is to say good bye to cheat meals, and rather learn to incorporate unhealthy food into a healthy life style. Bad foods are a set back to most training programs however in order to have long term results and live a healthy life, you need to find balance. So if you want to have a pizza, go eat a pizza. If it's someone's birthday then slice up some cake. But go do a workout and burn it off. Think of it as a forfeit. Apply the theory of if you eat a slice of cake, you have to do an extra spin class that week. Don't be that boring person who says no thanks I'm on a diet when your out with your mates, unless you are on a diet. But A diet is a short term program to get you ready for an occasion. In order to see lasting long term results you need to incorporate unhealthy food in to a healthy lifestyle. The more you workout. The more you can eat.

#Macros : 55g of carbs (18g of fiber) 20g of fat, 56g of protein
For most, pasta is not filling. However, I use @eatbanza! High in protein & fiber, it always fills me up for most of the day. This dish is super flexible (🤓) for those who may be dieting or bulking! All you have to do is either increase the ingredient quantity whether it's the pasta, quality of meat, the cheese, etc!
I heard that some free recipes are going to be going up on my blog when it's finally done so if you want to stay updated, it'll be on the link in my bio, but you can sign up for my email list for early access and will be the first to know along with receiving first access to the newest ebook soon! Trying to maintain ok abs while bulking is so difficult☹️ 4 weeks out from the U21 World Championships, very much ready for the most emotionally unstable, tear filled, tedious and mentally challenging 4 weeks of my life but it'll all be worth it🥋☘️
