12 days ago I could bench press 185 pounds and curl 35 pound dumb bells in each hand no problem. Today? Bench press 45 and I can barely curl 15.
That’s what happens when you fly over the handle bars on a bike and crash land on cement. Right shoulder sprained and left wrist tweaked.
But use opportunities when one part of your body is hurting to focus on another part (or another part of life) you want to improve but ... often neglect.
Age and injury is no excuse.
Here I’m doing a few knee ups to box jumps. When I started at #tonehouse a couple years ago I couldn’t even do a 20 inch box jump from standing position let alone from seated position. (At 40 I’m too old for this s&$t, I would say back then). After a year of patience and practice and a few tips from @_roxie_jones_ and @doworkdaley I can now do it from a seated position to 30 inch high box. About 20 times. If I was younger I could do it more, but I’m not, and that’s OK.
I’ll be back. Shoulder will get better soon, wrist will be OK in a week or so. Maybe I’ll come back even stronger.
When one part hurts, stop crying about it and use as an #opportunity to focus on another.

The main man himself @steven_rank 👆. Thank you for having me two years ago when I was a nervous kid walking into a big name design agency and treating me so nice - I’ve never forgotten it and will always be supportive of @sarankco. It was amazing getting to celebrate with you (and @allisonanne512 and @joanne_g and everyone else at Sarankco 💛) this milestone 🏆 and cheers to the next 10 years of success for you! 🥂
