Day 16 of the #myhousethismonth challenge is “fireplace/warmth”. Speaking of a challenge, I find January to be one. I always struggle with the winter months and this January is being especially dark and dull and wet here in the North West of England. If I kept a gratitude journal (which I probably should as I hear it can work wonders for minds like mine) I’d have listed central heating in there. I’m so thankful that however crappy it is outside, I can keep toasty warm inside. Anybody else struggle with this time of year? And if so, how do you make the days feel more manageable whilst we wait for the sun to reappear?
The heart wants what the heart wants. And this heart very much wants a herringbone quarter sawn white oak floor with a thin black marble border. It makes sanding the floor a bit tricky/ the marble would have to be installed after the floor is sanded and stained.
We've had a morning of Disney films and chocolate biscuits! I'm feeling pretty rough so we have every intention of staying in our pyjamas and watching Moana on repeat 🙌🏼 The kitchen is starting to come together and I'm so happy with it! We went bold with the tiles! #peepingbunny#duvetdays
I found this buffet & matching table & chairs online and knew I had to have this buffet for a vanity. My brother & sister in-law picked it up in Regina for me. It was refinished and brought back to me... it is so beautiful in person 😍. We looooove this wood grain, the faucet.. one of my favourite rooms in the house. Still have some finishing work to do, but the best thing of all, we don’t have to wash our hands in the tub anymore 🤗. #midcenturybuffet#vesselsink#goldfaucet#chevronfloor#hexagontiles#midcenturybathroom
Sharing this shot of “flooring” again for Day 8 of #myhousethismonth This was my most liked post of last year, even beating the birth announcement of our daughter! My husband is extremely proud of that fact after the many months he spent working on it! Swipe to see how much of a perfectionist he is (and why our house will probably take 20 years longer than the average renovation 🙄)
Designed by Australian architectural firm SJB, this space has all the requisite elements to classify it as uber chic. Hints of marble, chevroned wood, pops of teal, a sleek, stand alone tub, we’re in bathroom bliss.
There are so many reasons to love this awesome kitchen by @nattyblanc !
