1 scoop @pranaon Primal Plant Protein (I used hazelnut cacao)
1 small raw beetroot (slice skin off and cut into small chunks) 
1 dollop coconut yoghurt 
1 tbsp chia seeds 
1/2 cup frozen blueberries 
Topped with sprinkle of coconut and @redtractorfoods Paleo Granola

We are so excited, but that also means I have to be extremely cautious of what I put into and how I treat my body. I knew I still wanted to continue down the path of #livinggreen, without being too harsh on my body. I started the research right in my own kitchen, and found a 10-day green smoothie cleanse book. After reading it I realized, while this may be a "cleanse" for some, this is easily a lifestyle I can live with. The book allows for a modified cleanse in which 2 smoothies are consumed for breakfast and dinner, high protein snacks like raw almonds and hard-boiled eggs are permitted throughout the day, and dinner is a healthy, high-protein meal of your choosing. Perfect!! So I did all my shopping on Sunday, and today is #day1. Today's smoothies are made up of spinach, strawberries, mango, grapes, an apple, ground flax seeds, and chia seeds. They are supercharged greens that add great flavour. ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑThis mornings breakfast on the go was a smoothie (mango, 1/2 an avocado, lettuce, fresh lemon thyme, apple mint, regular mint, chia seeds, powdered pau d'arco, powdered turmeric, powdered cinnamon and the water from 1 fresh coconut. I saved the coconut flesh and popped it in a jar to have for a separate little snack. Both were delicious! Oh - and save your glass jars for food storage!  Jar on the right is left from my juice cleanse with  @potionbymim and on the left - I love @olivegreenorganics jarred salmon and the jars are great for sauces, dressings, spices and small portions of leftovers.

This morning for breakfast i had a greensmoothie,and as i was chewing on my smoothie, i realized that i should write about and share why you should chew your smoothies and juices even though they really don't need chewing to swallow.
When we eat real food, we chew because we have to break it down into smaller sizes in order to swallow the food. That's just the reason we think of when we are chewing, but there's more to it than that! When we are chewing, we synchronize the intestines and the brain. 
In the first place, what is the reason for you to eat those healthy smoothies and juices? Of course you want them to give you the good nutritional value, you want them to digest well in your body, right? Then why chewing?
You need enzymes and hormones in order to digest the food you're eating. How do you get those enzymes and hormones? They're coming from the hypophysis in your brain. When you're chewing you 'command' your brain to release those enzymes and hormones.
If you don't chew and just gulping everything that comes into your mouth, then you may not be getting as much nutritional value as you think! Some doctors call this "makan ga pake otak" =) Some patients report that they do diet by juicing or smoothi-ing, they might lose their weight, but why the cholesterol and the triglycerides won't go normal? When you're not chewing, all those foods enter into carbohydrate metabolism! They will convert into fats and sugar. 
So, from now on, chew your smoothies and juices =) Ps: i don't really recommend you to use the straw, you'll end up gulping the smoothies without chewing it :) Blessings and health,

Am so excited.. I truly can't hide it. Feeling incredibly energized and wow'ed by my dinner tonight, a giant savoury smoothie! 
Here are the ingredients for 2L of soup/smoothie:
- 1 orange and yellow pepper
- 6 small cremini mushrooms - 2 tomatoes - 1 pearl onion (chopped and set still for 10 minutes to allow enzymatic reaction to take place, and turn the beauty into a sulfur-rich anti-cancer food (same goes for garlic))
- 1 large clove garlic - 1 avocado - handful spinach
- handful cilantro - handful red hot green sprouts (radish, collard, sunflower)
- 1/2 lemon juice - Himalayan pink salt, kelp, cumin & cayenne to taste (forgot to add turmeric, just remembered!)
- 750 ml fresh cashew milk (made with dates) - topped with hot water (not boiling, but hot)

Seriously delicious. So grateful for living food. And for my high-speed blender. And for life. 
Day 3 almost complete, looking forward to #detox day 4!
