1 small raw beetroot (slice skin off and cut into small chunks)
1 dollop coconut yoghurt

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

Good morning! A little over two weeks ago, I found out I'm going to be sharing my physical space with a little blessing for the next 9 months. We are so excited, but that also means I have to be extremely cautious of what I put into and how I treat my body. After seeing the results of the #crazysexydiet#21daycleanse that @fitnessglogirl experienced (Check her out! She looks stunning!!) I knew I still wanted to continue down the path of #livinggreen , without being too harsh on my body. I started the research right in my own kitchen, and found a 10-day green smoothie cleanse book. After reading it I realized, while this may be a "cleanse" for some, this is easily a lifestyle I can live with. The book allows for a modified cleanse in which 2 smoothies are consumed for breakfast and dinner, high protein snacks like raw almonds and hard-boiled eggs are permitted throughout the day, and dinner is a healthy, high-protein meal of your choosing. Perfect!! So I did all my shopping on Sunday, and today is #day1 . Today's smoothies are made up of spinach, strawberries, mango, grapes, an apple, ground flax seeds, and chia seeds. Are you chewing your smoothies and juices?
This morning for breakfast i had a greensmoothie,and as i was chewing on my smoothie, i realized that i should write about and share why you should chew your smoothies and juices even though they really don't need chewing to swallow.
When we eat real food, we chew because we have to break it down into smaller sizes in order to swallow the food. That's just the reason we think of when we are chewing, but there's more to it than that! When we are chewing, we synchronize the intestines and the brain.
In the first place, what is the reason for you to eat those healthy smoothies and juices? Of course you want them to give you the good nutritional value, you want them to digest well in your body, right? Then why chewing?
You need enzymes and hormones in order to digest the food you're eating. How do you get those enzymes and hormones? They're coming from the hypophysis in your brain. When you're chewing you 'command' your brain to release those enzymes and hormones.
If you don't chew and just gulping everything that comes into your mouth, then you may not be getting as much nutritional value as you think! Some doctors call this "makan ga pake otak" =) Some patients report that they do diet by juicing or smoothi-ing, they might lose their weight, but why the cholesterol and the triglycerides won't go normal? When you're not chewing, all those foods enter into carbohydrate metabolism! They will convert into fats and sugar.
So, from now on, chew your smoothies and juices =) Ps: i don't really recommend you to use the straw, you'll end up gulping the smoothies without chewing it :) Blessings and health,

Here are the ingredients:
- 1+ bunch romaine
- 1/4 cucumber - 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup wild blueberries - 1 apple
- 1 med sized piece of ginger - 2 cups of basil-cucumber infused water + remainder coconut water (with coconut pieces) - 1 tsp vitamineral greens powder, spirulina, shatavari, ashwagandha, moringa leaf powders, pinch stevia
- 2 tbsp hemp, flax, chia seeds

Today's green smoothie is living greens-deficient, so I supplemented with superfoods. Here are the ingredients: - 1.5 ripe frozen banana
- 5 frozen strawberries - 1 med sized piece of ginger - 1 tbsp each of spirulina, vitamineral greens powder, hemp, chia, flax seeds, moringa leaf powder, raw cacao, shatavari powder
- 1 tsp coconut oil, almond-hazelnut butter, flax oil
- water to blend.
