This slice of heaven is a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza from Girodano’s Pizza in Chicago. My wife and I stopped here after the White Sox game on our first night in Chicago this summer. If you are ever in Chicago and want a real slice of deep dish pizza, this is a great place to stop in. My advice is to come with a voracious appetite because these slices are really packed in with dough, sauce, mushroom, pepperoni, etc. Just for the record, I am not a huge fan of doughy pizza. I’d much rather have a thin slice of New York Style Pizza. However, the dough at Giordano’s is fantastic. It leaves you wanting more as it has just the right combination of soft and doughy with a hint of crunch. You will not leave the building hungry or disappointed!
