Reminiscing about this year's (wait, last year's😞) Christmas Crackers 🎉 Reminiscing because the Boy has claimed ownership of every little stretchy, sticky dinosaur that was a little gift inside and decided that they will now live on the ceiling. That's right, our ceiling has about two dozen on it and they've been there for about 36 hours - hanging on for a record. I love the second year of our Christmas tradition (thanks for the initial idea AND snaps @ohcreativeday). It gives us a chance to breathe a second life into the kids' artworks and they LOVE popping them, such a novelty.
Did you survive the heat this weekend? I think it got up to 46°C where we are ☀️ We spent most of it swapping between the pool and the air-con. I also caught up on lots of reading 📚💃Thank goodness the pool has worn out the boys and they're both in bed (one in a toddler bed for the first time 😵) and we're about to chow down on some home-made sweet potato chips and crispy skin salmon 😋 Happy Sunday ❤❤❤
A Christmas tree without a skirt is a tad naked so I made this gathered skirt a few years back. You can also see one of our many hand glittered baubles of which there are several. Double sided tape and/or a quality glue pen and some ultra fine glitter and you can have an unlimited range of designs even if you are not artistic.
Spurling Design & ... Slate? A client went to and fell in love with Newfoundland this past summer, she picked up this piece of slate and wanted to memorialize her trip. I've never painted on slate and don't often paint landscapes, but never shy away from the unfamiliar.
Totally used @ayeayechickenbird fab idea and have just spent the last hour re-purposing this years Christmas cards with Chloe into gift tags for next year! So simple, really fun and nice to recycle stuff! #craft#kidcraft#repurpose#reuse#recycle
