We're halfway through the week, so in my mind that means it's time to start thinking about something fun for breakfast this coming weekend, and I can't get this Triple Chocolate Zucchini Bread out of my head for some reason...! Every year around this time I feel caught between 2 feelings, on one hand I want to eat all of the comforting holiday classics, but on the other hand that leaves me wanting something different like this Saté Turmeric Chicken with Creamy 'Peanut' Sauce that I love to serve with the fresh tasting Asian Cucumber Salad recipe I pair with it. So I just go with both feelings: sometimes it's all Christmas cookies around here, and other times it's exotic fresh flavored dinners that perk up my taste buds and keep me coming back for more!

My run today was a good example of running against ALL ODDS! Last year I developed an injury prior to my supposed first Marathon at the #lagoscitymarathon2017 and I eventually didn't run it 😩
So I decided to start seriously training for #lagoscitymarathon2018  some weeks ago but it's been very difficult with no Motivation whatsoever to workout and stress from life generally 😄
Well, I decided to do at least 20km this morning at least to show that I am serious about this thing and I did all I thought to do to help (eat well, sleep well and all that) and I even woke up at midnight to eat but then my village people were already waiting for me.
It started to rain!!! OMG! that's the worst ever for me cos I hate  rain wetting or drenching me😩 but determination and all the food I ate 🤓 couldn't make me abandon my goals so I set out.
I have ran at least six half marathons solo (on my own) and I can say this is one of or even the slowest and most crappy of all but I was determined to finish it and I did. Thankful to God for that😁🤓
Training has started in full force and I pray I trust God and my body enough to eventually run it🙏🏼

Runners (especially those who have ran Marathon(s) before) please give me tips that'll help me especially as per pace and endurance cos I realize that I get tired easily and at this rate I m not sure I can sustain 42km😭😩

These are definitely as good as they look, and the balls themselves are sugar-free (if you are ok with dates) but I got a little crazy and coated them with chocolate and candy canes...oops. They are simple and perfect for holiday parties like the one I just went to! Check out the recipe I adapted from @letseatcakeblog:

-1 c. Dates
-1 c. Unsalted cashews
-1/2 c. Cocoa (I used a mixture of cacao powder and unsweetened cocoa powder)
-1/2 tsp. Peppermint extract
-2 tbsp. Brown rice syrup

Use a food processor on the dry ingredients until you have an even consistency and then add the liquids. Roll into balls. Chill for 30 min. If you're crazy like me and want a stomach ache, coat in dark chocolate melted with a spoonful of coconut oil, and top with crumbled candy cane. Boom. Done.

Доброе утро! Готовим овсяные печеньки?) Они мега вкусные и очень сильно похожи на настоящие покупные овсяные печеньки 😋Думаю к новому году сделаю ещё пост с ПП печеньками только уже в форме ёлочки и всяких звёздочек.

Итак что нам нужно :
 10 ст.л сухих овсяных хлопьев
3-4 ч.л корицы
3 ст.л. мёда жидкого
Немного орешков,семян льна например или кунжута. Я ещё в несколько печенек добавила изюм.
Половинка яйца. И грамм 30 пюрированого банана.
1-2ст.л раст. Масла  Готовим : перемолоть почти в муку овсянку, смешать ее с корицей и измельчёнными орехами.
Вбить яйцо и банан. Добавить меда и масло.
 Все тщательно перемешать до такого состояния, что можно было лепить руками. Делаем любую форму и в духовку печься пол часа. Я люблю по хрустеть, по-этому держала дольше.
 Готово.
