Time to get out there again. Love painting the streets of Mexico. This is one of my highest value activities and I just have to include it in my schedule as a priority. The other two are writing and teaching. What are your highest value creative activities and more importantly are you prioritizing them?
Confession: I didn't choose to work for myself as a creative entrepreneurial gal only to spend my days on screens, juggling 5 different roles, learning 50 different skills, working 5000 hours, only to feel like I got "nothing" done, steeped in burnout & self-doubt. I'm guessing you didn't either. If so, double tap. 🎧
Truth is? If that's where you are, you're not alone & it's not your fault. See, that "haphazard hustle" (as we talk about in coaching) is how most Doers work. It's what we think is "productive." When really it's busy as best & depressing at worst. 🎧
Until we gain more Creative Direction in our beliefs & our business practices, so we can mindfully design where we're going & how we want to enjoy getting there, werk werk werk is par for the course in those first 1-3 years of any creative start up; especially as a solopreneur. 🎧
It's not to say muscle isn't needed. It is. But it's Creative Spiritual, Attitudinal, Muscle (as Marianne Williamson taught me) that we want to build in addition to all that elbow grease. That's the difference between forcing to "make something happen" & trusting it is already done. 🎧
Years ago I was all grit & no flow. I was exhausted before I'd even begun. And even when I had big wins, I was onto the next. Joy, self-care, wellness, synchronicity, or starting where I was - those were ridiculous notions to me. Turns out? They were everything I didn't know sustainable "success" required: the satisfaction to keep going. 🎧
My bet? You chose to build a business to design a LIFE. One that gave you more freedom. More energy. More say. More meaning. More impact. One that felt true & self-expressed. 🎧
So on days when you're neck down, scrolling away, bombarding your brain with the 50,000 things you "should" be learning verses the innate few you could be leveraging - STOP. Breathe. Walk away. And start again. 🎧
Without criticism ask, "What am I doing? How is what I'm doing getting me closer to or further from the things I actually want to be doing?" 🎧
It's time we give you your life back. Cuz wasn't that the whole point? 🎧

Love Warriors!! How big is your heart? Having money is great but ultimately we will be judged by our hearts. We will be judged by how we gave what we have been given. Money doesn't belong to us. It's on loan to us and it doesn't give us the key to eternal peace. Money doesn't make us happy. It doesn't solve all of our problems. It doesn't make us better than others. Money makes life a bit more convenient and allows a degree of freedom. But true freedom comes from the inside. Joy comes from breaking ourselves from the past, freeing ourselves from our imposed shackles, forgiveness, and allowing the heart to heal, open, and be free. Joy comes from living in the present moment and letting go of our expectations and what we think should be.
Everything we need comes from the inside. Prosperity and true joy begins in our consciousness. Do you have a prosperous and positive mind? Money isn't bad. It's what we do with it and whether we worship it before our God? Put God first in every area of your life and everything else will fall into place. If we want more money, let's give more away. If we ask the Universe for more, then let's give more away! •
By far my favourite coaching technique. Ask yourself where you want to be exactly one year from today. Then ask yourself what you can do in the next 24 hours to get closer to this goal. ⠀
I used this technique in my Careers Springboard Workshop back in August. All those who attended stuck to it. It can really help to give you a sense of ownership over your future, and to help you rationalise the space between where you stand now and where you want to be by making the journey you must take more palatable.⠀
If you have a desire. A dream. And you think you don't have the time, space, money (or fill in blank for why you think you can't have it / do it / be it), then start with this... Start with a small step towards it. One thing that will move you forward.
Tell someone you did it. Share it.
Because every step matters ✨
Examples... If you want more space in your life, carve 5mins where you create only space for yourself. Once. Then once you have, choose another 5mins.
If you want to exercise regularly. Choose one day this week to go exercise. Just once. Then choose again next week.
If you want to live abroad, plan and go on holiday on your own in a self-catering place. Just once.
If you want to eat well and find no time to plan for it during the week. Choose one meal that feels good to you. Cook it once this week. Then choose another.
If you want to write blogs or books. Write something in your journal and share it with a friend. Or post it on Facebook. Just once. Then go again next week. ✨
Break it down.
Create the consistency.
But take the first step.

Do you have #cerebralpalsy or a disability that impacts your balance? The Smith Machine could be your best friend. Today in 5*5 I did squats and bent over rows. Give it a try. Don't let ego get in the way of progress.
Notice the point fell down to the chin from the eye during crossovers; it's important to keep that next to the eye. Another thing is the last crossover was a hop, keep it a smooth, level glide as not to lose energy.
