My birthday present to myself! This seat is long overdue. I have no idea how I got through 2 half ironmans on my original seat. I hope this is the winner. Cobb designs their seats based on different body types. They have an online questionnaire that matches you with the best seat for you. They also have a great return/exchange policy. If this is not the seat for me I have 60 days to return it. #ironmantraining#swimbikerun#tricrazy#140 .6 #70 .3 #activemom#cobbsaddles#bikefit
Testing the ugliest saddle I've ever had. Found a good deal on German Ebay and after some research thought - why not! Now I know what it looks like, it's triathlon geeky. I'm not into triathlon but John Cobb who makes this endurance/triathlon saddle is well respected and this Cobb Randeé saddle (flirting with the word Randonneur) has received only praise so I thought I'd look outside the basic Brooks-formula 😊. I'll probably end up with a carved Cambium C13 like @elaswan (we're the ones who are going to bike across Sweden next year). #cobbcycling#cobbrandee#cobbsaddles#endurancecycling#ultracycling#touring#longdistancecycling#randonneur
I learnt a very important lesson yesterday that I want everyone to pay close attention to:
DO NOT mess around with your bike fitter's work.
Ryan @3dbikefit set up my position perfectly in January this year. Due to some comfort issues with my saddle I later decided to switch back to my Cobb Max saddle which had always been comfortable for me. This I did on my own, on the assumption that since both saddles were the same height it should be a simple straight switch.
Lately I have been noticing that I felt really low on the bike so I asked Ryan to take a look. Turns out the seat post needed to be raised 2cm!
I rode that compromised position at #im703worldchampionship ...oops!
The video is from post fix yesterday.
Huge thanks to Ryan for fixing everything back up!

Local pro #triathlete @andrea.forrest front & centre at @onepoint_health's info night on hamstring/Achilles issues for triathletes and runners. .
Her tip #4 ; don't forget to train at race pace & faster than race pace. Might seem obvious but it's something many athletes avoid doing ('cause it hurts!) but it can be a major contributing factor in cramps & injuries #strongwomen
There's no telling where you can go when you're comfortable on the saddle! Great post @iamironboom! #comfortequalsspeed#Repost @iamironboom with @repostapp ・・・
