How to get the seeds outta these babies:
Roll the fruit first to loosen the seeds.
Score around the middle and tear it open into halves.
Hold each half over a bowl, seeds facing down and tap the skin with a wooden spoon, squeezing a little to release the seeds.
Alternatively, score 4 lines from top to bottom to quarter the pomegranate.
Submerge the pomegranate in a bowl of water and and pull apart the quarters, releasing the seeds with your hands.
The pith will float and the seeds will sink. Remove the pith and discard, then drain the seeds.

Here's a game changer for your fridge full of old veggies. This stuff is like the elixir of life to me....PHO! If you've never heard of it it's a Vietnamese beef #bonebroth soup with ginger, onions, carrots and lots and lots of bones in the broth. Basically you boil it like crazy all day, strain it and pour the boiling broth over fresh ultra thin rice noodles and some slices of raw beef (that'll cook as soon as you pour the broth) and add your choice of toppings. Going along the #massmovement theme, today’s picture is of Heart Mountain, which is located north of Cody, Wyoming, east of Yellowstone. National Park. The top of Heart Mtn. is composed of mostly limestones that range in age from 500 to 350 million years, and the base is composed of mostly shale that were deposited 55 million years ago. There is a low angle normal fault that separates these two very different sedimentary rocks. The accepted interpretation is that the top of the mountain was part of a massive landslide that occurred during the formation of the Rocky Mountains between 50 and 48 million years ago. #learninggeology#wyoming#yellowstone#codywyoming

A few weeks ago, just after settling in, we got to explore a little bit of the area just outside of Yellowstone. This is the beautiful Shoshone River near the Buffalo Bill Dam.
We’re keeping a lookout for ways to explore Yellowstone in this season, but for now we’ll have to settle for magazines, Instagram photos and articles like this one. 😍
