Gas, bloating, fatique, migraines, nausea, joint pain, brain fog..
I know I'm doing it to myself too, Fall is such a hard time for my inner health, and I decided to extra fuck myself and try and lower my meds this month too..so now Im struggling with feeling like a failure .. anxiety is at its highest..and if you know me, I'm not an anxious person like EVER. I'm also not a negative thinker.
Its amazing how much stress can actually try to kill you.
I HAVE to take more time for myself.
Self care is NOT selfish, but NEEDED.
I hope this can motivate you somehow & I apologize for all the "woah is me" posts lately. I'll be back, SOON!!

Remember you're worth it. Your struggle is real. Whatever you're going through, grow through it. I know I say it a lot but it's necessary to acknowledge that. ♡
Dinner always includes essentialzymes-4 to aid in digestion. Did you know our bodies often lack the necessary enzymes to help break down foods. Enzymes are especially important as we age and because of what we eat. From the YL website.. Essentialzymes-4 is a multi-spectrum enzyme complex specially formulated to aid the critically needed digestion of dietary fats, proteins, fiber, and carbohydrates commonly found in the modern processed diet. The dual time-release technology releases the animal- and plant-based enzymes at separate times within the digestive tract, allowing for optimal nutrient absorption. All I can say...if I don’t take Essentialzymes-4 with larger meals my tummy really hurts 😢. #essentialzymes4#digestivehelp#nomoretummyaches#colitissucks
Building back the miles slowly. Sports bra in October?!? 65 degrees?!?! Whhhattt? This was supposed to be a run from Wednesday but good ole colitis flare put a hitch in my plans. I took two rest days for extra sleep and told my self try to run for 30 minutes and see what happens. I felt good and kept on trecking. Supposedly getting the meds I need tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Crohns and Colitis community, let's have a discussion (via comments or messages are welcome too!) I have a septic intestine and I can either do Simponi or have surgery(I failed basically every other form of treatment). I want to know your feedback on this medication if you've ever been on it or your surgery stories if you've had surgery, please and thank you!
Every once in awhile I stumble across this pic! I keep it as a reminder. A reminder that I thought it just too late for me to get started on a health and fitness journey. That I was destined to be overweight and out of shape. That's the way life was supposed to be as I headed into my 40s, 50s and beyond!
Then I called myself out and said... "You can change this!" Nothing is stopping you! I made a decision. To show up and follow an exercise plan one day at a time. That's all. Cuz it seemed impossible if I tried to think I could do this as part of a regular routing! The one day led to two days. Eventually a week, a month, a year... a lifestyle.
I was so happy to find a solution. A formula to follow.
And I am so happy to pay it forward an help others succeed.
Through my healthy eating and fitness groups I run.
It all started with one day at a time!
I am so excited to run another 7 day group next week! Healthy eating with a simple to follow eating plan and simple straight forward beginner workouts!
For those people to discover it's never too late to put yourself first! Who is ready? Let me hear ya!
Brings new meaning to the words Lauren’s Go-Go Juice...💩😳
...Just kidding.... the cleanse is gentle!
I always thought that a cleanse meant being stuck on the toilet for hours and feeling ill. As someone who has had to deal with Ulcerative Colitis for her adult life, doing that willingly never appealed to me. Luckily that’s not the case with this natural detox!

⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Unfortunately with #ulcerativecolitis or #crohns or any #IBS , really, our bodies do not respond well to sugar. Why? Sugar causes inflammation in your gut. You know the I in IBS or IBD? I = inflammatory. Inflammatory Bowel Disease. So why cram sugar into your mouth when it's literally hurting your insides? I think a lot of us feel a disconnect between our bodies and the food we use to fuel our bodies. We aren't able to physically see inside of us we just "feel" the negative effects. If we saw our intestines reacting negatively, we'd probably change our ways a lot faster. We live in a society that has shoved convenience food down our throats (dramatic) and it's a whole lot EASIER to eat these foods than it is to plan, cook, and eat whole foods. But your body is literally begging you to stop eating the junk. It's showing up as disease and disorder and then we take a pill and go back to our regular eating habits? Your body is screaming at you to change up the way you're eating! If you need tips on cutting out or cutting down on sugar, please message me. Sugar is killing you, ESPECIALLY if you have a gut disorder. Sugar = Inflammation and that's what the drugs you're taking are trying to fight. Work with your body, not against it. Also if you're looking for an all natural anti-inflammatory check out links in bio. Follow "supplements" and then "limitless"
Years ago I woke up one morning, fell to the floor and realized I could not walk. My back was in pain and I had no control of my legs. .
First order of business was to drag myself down a super long hallway to let out 4 very eager dogs who were so happy that Dad was up! They thought I was playing, and here I am literally crying. LOL
After many assessments and chiropractor visits I decided to get an MRI, which revealed I had degenerative disk disease. .
I went through physical therapy with Dr. Kurt Chapman and crew, and while my disc issue is still there, the symptoms have gone away. Thank you!!!
I do my best take care of my back and I know some workouts tend to stress me a little bit more than others. But each week I work on stretching, mobility, yoga and core work! I also visit Dr. Nate Berrett for chiropractic treatments to keep things in alignment!
Have you have had any back issues? What all do you do to keep healthy and limber? Comment below!
Folks! Next month on November 4th, I will be participating in the first annual ✨Spin4 Crohn’s & Colitis Cures✨ with Team LC Nutrition! This cause is particularly important to me as I know and treat individuals with #Crohnsdisease and #colitis on a daily basis, and I see how much these people suffer through daily life, how much they are held back from participating in activities that they wish they could be a part of, the mounds of healthcare costs they collect, and the sheer emotional & physical pain that they each endure as a result of their condition. .
I will spin4 the 1.6 million American adults and children affected by these #digestive#diseases . While many suffer in silence, Spin4 Crohn’s & Colitis Cures will bring the community together in a fun, energetic and supportive atmosphere. .
Your donation will help support local patient programs, as well as important #research projects. The more money we raise, the closer we will be to making life more manageable for patients who live with these diseases every day. .
Help Team LC Nutrition reach our goal of $1,000 for the #CrohnsandColitisFoundation by November 4th!! Please click on the link above ☝🏼in my bio to make a donation, if you feel so inclined (and I hope you do). It would mean so much to me to have your support! .
