Currently sick... again... 😒
Went to the doctor to get blood work 💉 done and everything was fine, so I guess that's good.
I'm missing training so much right now though... :( This winter has been very hard on me because every time I've finally been seeing progress I get sick...
I'm trying to stay positive and focus on how I'm going to conquer my goals once I'm feeling better though. What being sick forces me to do is really plan out how I'm going to move forward, which in some respects is a blessing. A setback doesn't have to be a complete loss. We can't control what happens to us, we can only control how we respond and adapt to it. And even if your setback could have been avoided, it's in the past and all that matters now is how you move forward. I don't think any other advice has helped me more than learning to let go of the past. But at the same token learn from it.
Since before I was a General Manager for Retrofitness in Brooklyn, everyone has always been curious about my eating habits.
This is a list of foods I have implemented in my diet for the past 2 year. With great eating comes great results.
This morning before before I went to my friends house I had a big bowl of oats 🤤 just plain vanilla with some coconut shreds. It was simple (mainly because I have no Oatmeal ingredients) and delicious. Today was a fun expensive and relaxing day. I got my trail mix. In which I’ll do a review on all of them either on my story or make a post. I’ll do them individually because why tf not. Anyways I hope y’all have a good night 💤🌙😴
I had to wake up for work at 4:30 and @jay_r_steen at 3:30...not complaining because super thankful to be employed, but that makes for a long day👏🏼👏🏼
I tried lifting heavy, and it wasn't working out so, I did 3 sets of 8 @ 135
Jay wasn't feeling too well so we did one more exercise and left. 🤷🏻♀️
Then, we showered and got Mexican food with the roommates
Crappy lifting session didn't make for a crappy day 🏋🏽♀️

-Finished choir (after 7 semesters!)

That is how long I have been on this new lifestyle journey.
Between senior year, new job position, working other jobs, friendships, relationships, family, life, etc. the list goes on and on!
You know how it feels to have a million things on your plate and feel like life never just stops to let you catch your breath.
Well, that's how this last year has been for me and in the midst of all of the crazy, I stopped caring about myself. How I was fueling my body, taking care of my body and thinking about my body was not good for me physically or mentally.
So I decided it was time to really make a change and that is when I started this amazing journey 40 days ago and when I say my life has changed I mean it! Working out, fueling my body in a healthy way and working on ME have all become non-negotiables!
I decided I wanted to be able to help people the way my coach has helped me! If you know those feelings that I just described and you are ready for that change, I am here for you! Follow my page and help keep me accountable!

Day 5 - yes only 5 days in to fully commuting to timed nutrition that I thought I could never do before I started this week!! I feel so much more full of energy, I’m not searching for snacks of some sort every 20 minutes because I still feel hungry. •
What if I told you if was as simple as following a plan and using these simple containers to?!?! Would you give it a chance? •
I’ve woken up late almost every day this week. I’ve made time to follow a timed nutrition plan by prepping things ahead of time. I have a toddler who wakes up early and I have to get ready and out of the house every morning. No it isn’t always easy but is it worth it?!?! It’s beyond worth feeling better, showing my son what healthy nutrition looks like and finally committing to myself to make the changes I have said for years I’ve wanted to make. •
Here’s to making changes for me!! .

Oh heyyyy how ya doing 😏 post workout vibes over here ✨ I wanted to talk a lil bit about this whole timed nutrition thing that I’m doing bc honestly I do not have that shit down yet 😂 my sleep schedule is outta whack which means I haven’t been eating at the times I’m supposed to be. I’m in no way beating myself up for this bc it’s a learning process and I knoooow that but I’m just like sav get your shit together so you can get these results girl!!! Ugh. Everyday is a brand new day. So tomorrow when I wake up for work I’m going to do the best I can to do this right.
On another note, check out what my dinner has been like since I started this program. These chicken burgers are freaking amazing and so quick to make. I also have some veggies + a carb post workout too. It’s super yummy and I’ve not gotten tired of it yet sooooo yay 😂 how many of you guys are also struggling with nutrition? It’s always been the hardest thing for me to grasp a hold on to....so you’re not alone. Get with me girl and we can be nutrition accountability partners 😏💋 hehe love you okay bye!!!

We are extremely fortunate that we get to see hawksbill turtles almost every day because this is a critically endangered species.
If you want to help this turtles you can reduce the amount of garbage you produce and clean up trash you see on the beach.
Be aware of sea turtle nesting areas and avoid nesting and hatching turtles.
Reduce the amount of chemicals you use.
Even if you live far away from the ocean there are things you can do for our sea turtles. 🐢🌊😀

- Start off with 1 set of 21s: make sure to curl 7 half way up (a little above waist), 7 from waist to shoulders, and than 7 from the bottom to shoulders.
- Skull crushers w/barbell "Triceps" 3x10 (last set do add 2 more, & breakout 10 bench press as fast as you can).
- Standing bicep curls w/barbell wide grip 3x10 (last set add 2 more)
- Dip machine "Triceps" 3x10 (last set add 2 more)
- Sitting biceps curls machine 3x10 (last set add 2 more)
- Triceps pushdown - rope/cable 3x10 (last set add 2 more)
- Standing cable curls "biceps" close grip 3x10 (last set add 2 more)
- 2x20 of Abdominal machine "v crunch" make sure not to bend nor lock your knee on the machine, sit up straight and make sure to engage your core (try not to push w/a lot of arm)
- 2x20 Hanging Leg Raise (try to straighten your legs out if the bending becomes to easy)
Through out the workout you should always make sure to engage your core and glutes
since I recently had surgery on my right knee I put my bad leg over my good for support. But you don't have to do that.
