I once put together a fall colors retreat. I cancelled it because only two people signed up. I put together another one a year later and no one signed up for that either. Sometimes you "fail" at what you do but the love is there just the same.
In my heart I now believe maybe I was meant to enjoy the colors without a big production. Just those who truly matter most.
Oh and don't carve trees kids. There's too much of that already out there. They're beautiful just as they are. But when they are carved to me they look like scars...and scars are beautiful.
Except that Mazda logo burned into my arm from the airbag from my car wreck. That thing is ugly 🤣
it was 90 degrees and sunny on thursday. ☀️ it's 55 degrees and damp today. 🌧 it's as if mother nature flipped the autumn switch right on schedule... so to celebrate, we took a little morning jaunt to the mountains [flannel and all...] to capture the aspens in all of their fiery, golden glory 🍁🔥
there's really nothing quite like it to ring in the season, though the apple cider currently simmering on the stove also helps... 🍎😉
It's that time of the year again and my Mister @widows_son0311 and I decided we have earned some much needed playtime in the hills of our beautiful state. We've both been working very hard and the respite was overdue. Spending some time in the mountains always calms me down and the energy and beauty of the changing seasons makes me feel alive. I'm very lucky to share my passions and joys with someone who also finds solace in the forest and nature. These are the things I love about living in Colorado and thankfully we get to share them together. #stepstosimplicity#coloradical#aspen#maroonbells#workhardplayhard
