Good morning! Just came out of my first PT session! Everything the doctor said makes sense. It’s a long story guys and I’m kind of busy today. I’ll try explain what’s going on quick. My chest and shoulders are really tight and I don’t know how to use the muscles of my wings very well (this why I can’t fly yet 🤪). So I have to forget about getting deep backbends for a while and just work on these chest and shoulder openings. Many of the exercises I already did in yoga, so I will just have to do them even more often now. Another exercise I didn’t do before is to create a muscle memory for my wings. The problem is that I try to do some poses not using all the muscles I’m supposed to use. This way I end up overusing others and creating imbalances. But it is very hard to figure it out all by myself. This self knowledge thing is not as easy as we might think. In yoga classes not always the teacher can explain every detail that will make sense for every BODY. So going to a professional of physical therapy from now on I think will help me a lot.
