FREEDOM ISN’T FREE
The National Anthem Debate
by Sazara J
POINT OF VIEWS
In the United States of America, our #freedom allows us to express our point of view. If we think about it, our #human ability to speak and act anywhere in the #world allows us to express our point of views as well. All point of views expressed come with consequences-albeit, at various levels of ramifications. Regardless of your stance, freedom
of speech may cost changes, reputations, #friends , #jobs , existing mentalities, or even lives.
In the present news, we see #business#politics , #sports , #communication , racial relations, #government , and more intersect in the Colin #Kaepernick -National Anthem-USA Flag-Sitting Down-Taking a Knee Debate.
During one video of a 49ers’ fan protest against Colin Kaepernick, we hear the USA National Anthem played with the burning of Kaepernick’s jersey, but we do not see the U.S. Flag. Thus, one exact similarity between the #49ers fan’s protest and Kaepernick’s protest is the playing of The National Anthem. THE NATIONAL ANTHEM: EXAMINING HISTORY
To consider points of views and even work to resolve challenges, #history must be examined time and time again when past challenges continue to reincarnate themselves.
In the third verse of the National Anthem, from Francis Scott Key’s perspective, in the land of the free and the home of the brave there were slaves. To be a slave meant that one was not free. Key states that slaves will never find refuge from the horror of fleeing or the despair of dying. Yet, he states that simultaneously the U.S. flag still waved in triumph over the land and home that belonged to others with human characteristics that were used to deem and respect them as freemen. Who says that your work style has to be boring, or predictable, or corporate or masculine? I love this quirky outfit we put together fur a recent client - beautifully structured but not constructive, creative but without losing any professionalism, feminine without being fussy and each piece is super versatile so can be worn in a multitude of other ways too! We pulled the apricot blouse into a matching peachy nude heel and if you wanted you could wear a black, white, grey or metallic shoe choice instead. The jewellery is simple and minimal but you could easily add a statement earring or necklace. And the skirt has a built in black waist band but we also styled it up with a wide patent black belt. You could wear the blazer back with jeans, over a dress or with a skinny pant. The blouse goes beautifully with a wrap skirt, over tailored shorts or tucked into wide leg pants. And the floral pencil skirt could be worn with a simple tee and sneakers, a low cut singlet and stilettos or a peplum top and a ballet flat. Each item works seamlessly together or apart, are cut perfectly for her shape and are flattering for both her skin tone, her size and her style personality. And it took me about 2 mins to put it all together. Do you know how to make clothes work for you? And how to make each item an effortless part of a whole versatile wardrobe? And do you understand how to identify what works for you and what doesn't? If the answers were no - maybe it's time to get in touch! M xx #creativecorporate#officestyle
