Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters, for which Igniting Kimba Arts Program and the Silo Art project would not have been possible without. Photos of the evening and further information about Stage 2 of the project to come shortly - Watch this space! 🎉
And the fun doesn't stop here.

You know you have the BEST friends and family when you happen to be out of town on a weekend when there's an event supporting people with Down syndrome and they went ahead ANYWAY and formed Lana a team, recruited people to be part of it, SHOW UP at the day of the event, walked in that heat and raised money!!! You guys have the BIGGEST hearts and truly are the best!! Thank you for your never-ending support! Lana already has the best friends and she doesn't even realize it yet! :) She will be there leading her Buddy Walk team next year, Lord willing!
Yesterday's Buddy Walk was a huge success! It was wonderful to meet all of you! A heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out and supported the event, the teams and GiGi's Playhouse! We are also grateful for the donations made! People like you are the ones who help us make the Playhouse dream become a reality!
Stay tuned for more of GiGi's Canton fundraisers and next public appearance!
The #trashsquad was rocking it today. My dear friend Julie @anonymous_mermaids_mermen had already organized 2 #beachcleanup s for the community of #manuelantonio before I finally had the chance to join her for the third today. Damn kids (sorry for my language), but this trash that the Ocean flushes onto the beach seems to never end. (Watch my IG stories to witness what is going on)
If #CostaRica is considered one of the greenest countries in the world and a pioneer in green practice, sustainability and Eco-tourism - I am not quiet sure if I do want to witness what is going on in the rest of the world.
BUT let's stay focused and positive - check out how much we accomplished in only 2 hours with about 10 people that donated their time and energy. We all can make a change.
Stop putting #plasticstraws in your drinks, take your clothes bags when going shopping, carry your own water bottle instead of buying them, ask for biodegradable container for your take-away food, eat more veggies and fruits instead of meat, pick up trash if you see it on the ground (let's face it - the owner is just a 👹 not coming to get it)... What else? Help me out here and add the small things you do to contribute to the change on daily basis. 3,2,1... Go you Eco-warriors.
Again thank you @anonymous_mermaids_mermen - you rock Sista! 🤘🏻🌎💙
As we move trough these trying times with natural disasters all around our planet and human rights issues being violated left and right, we need to remember to give freely from our hearts. To pay attention to each other on the small stage and the larger scale. I know people tend to get frustrated at each other, sometimes over social media or small trivial things and I get it, but try for a day to let the small things go so you can save some energy to help find resolve for some of our larger issues. How can you help slow climate change? What small things can you do in your home? How can you donate your time or skills to your community to make it just a bit brighter? Can you take time out of your "default" to help refugees in another country? What is it that you can do? What would you do if you had nothing holding you back? Can you see the road blocks you may have built up to protect yourself/ family that may stand in the way of helping the world around you. I've spent a lot of time this week asking myself these questions and plan to use 2018 as a year of giving back to the world around me. I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas on what we can do to be better for each other and the world.
The #NYPD have found a new force to join them in finding massage parlors that actually are undercover sex trafficking stops. They have teamed up with the woman volunteers from nonprofit Sanctuary for Families to help get inside the suspected massage parlors, by using women volunteers to go and talk to the employees of said parlors. Click the link in the bio to read about their efforts to stop trafficking.

The Melchiore Casa faired better than expected here in Pasadena. Other than the fact my pants don't fit and I've forgotten how to apply makeup, life is okay. My loved ones are all safe. I've already seen so Many acts of kindness and giving in these stressful times. I was given gas when there was none by a complete stranger so I could leave with my young child. Many have lost so much. I am praying for all and grateful for what I have today. 💙 Peace, Love & Strength💙 #naplesstrong#irma#odaat#rebuild#communityeffort#strength#bethechange#godsgotthis
