Decided tonight was all about the carries. I went with farmer's and overhead carries. I used the 124lb and 70lb. I like carrying different weights because when in life does one carry two objects with the same weight, rarely. Plus, it's challenges the core more, in my opinion. Give these a whirl!
I had an amazing time playing golf with my pops and two gentlemen that he worked with on the Southfield Fire Department for 30+yrs. The real winner was the Great Lakes Burn Camp. The GLBC helps kids who have been severely burned return to some semblance of a normal quality of life. Happy to play and donate to such a great cause!!!
Getting some work in with the kiddos. They are always a blast to train. We're working on some reciprocal patterns and just some basic movements. Keeping kids interested and not over coaching them is tough job. Of course I want the movement patterns to be perfect but they're KIDS. It's ok to let them explore movement. I wish I could move like some of them!
I had so much fun teaching the TGU to @mrosey1124 @samantha_dorse @rgibson_45 They all caught on quickly. This is how I run the progressions: 1.) no weight 2.) with a shoe 3.) with load
They should all look identical. Can't wait to hopefully welcome these guys to @strongfirst family later this year 💪
