I’ve always dreamt about having my own app available on the App Store or Google Play, and to have 3 released games and 2 more on the way in less than six months is definitely a dream come true! I can’t wait to see how many apps I’ll be releasing in 2018!
Happy birthday to groundbreaking #mathematician & the world's 1st computer programmer Ada Lovelace! An analyst and mathematician, we recognize her today as the world’s first computer programmer.
She was chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. She was the first to recognise that the machine had applications beyond pure calculation, and published the first algorithm intended to be carried out by such a machine. As a result, she is often regarded as a trailblazer who first recognized the potential of the "computing machine" and laid the groundwork for modern computer science.

Students from different universities in #SouthAfrica are set to represent the country at the International Student Cluster #Competition . The competition will be hosted at the 2018 International #Supercomputing#Conference in #Germany .
The #students who will participate in the competition in Germany came first at a national competition which took place during the annual Centre for High Performance #Computing (CHPC) conference in #Pretoria last week.
The winning team was made up of:
Rosendorff Meir (#Wits ), Bruton Joshua (Wits), Paupamah Kimessha (Wits), Mokoena Katleho (Wits), Sithole Njabulo (University of #Limpopo ), Michlo Nathan (Wits), Giga Biters (Wits), Evans Sharon (Wits), and Gekko Bulbulia Zubair (Wits).
Purdue ECE in the News: "NSF award will help Purdue researchers develop more effective, energy efficient computers"
Prof. Joerg Appenzeller will lead the newly formed Computing Advances by Probabilistic Spin Logic (CAPSL) center, which will use an award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to make computing more effective and energy efficient using “spins.” Details in the Spotlights section of the ECE website. Does this sound new to you?
Here is how we define a professional Community: - A group formed by experienced industrial stakeholders, engineers, researchers, and students in the field of professional such as engineering, IT, computing and etc. - Conduct wide range of activities include formal/informal, technical/non-technical workshops, technical advice and guidance at regular basis across Malaysia. - Be connected through up-to-date social media.
Our organization would like to gather technical personnel mentioned above to form a professional community. We hope that it can benefit you by getting or providing information through news feed, chats, discussions and forums for long term technical growth and collaboration.
Stay connected with us today !!! :) #professionalcommunity#industrialstakeholders#engineers#researchers#students#engineering#software#IT#computing#job#formal#nonformal#technicalworkshops#technicaladvice#socialmedia
While #ZerusAndOna spend these days playing with the snow, I’m working on the stories and defining their content.
My mum always makes the hardest questions about the book. Do you know that moment when you just told her all excited the last idea for one of the stories and she looks at you and says... “Oh, that’s wonderful! But...” followed by THE question. So you go home and cannot stop thinking about the answer until you found one!
One of her last questions was “What if little boy (or any other kid) doesn’t like programming? Would these stories still be relevant?”
The answer came this week while reading “D is for Digital” by #briankernighan . He says that in that book he would like to write all about “What should a well-informed person know about computing?”.
His approach is similar to the one I would like to accomplish: “What should kids know about computing?”. Answering my mum’s question, #ZerusAndOna won’t teach kids how to program, but will give them tools to live in a world surrounded by computers, whether they decide to do programming for living or not.
What do you wish you knew about computers as a kid? Viruses? Colors? Motherboard?
