//Re-discover your creativity// sometimes I feel blocked when I'm writing. That creative flow is a headspace for me. When I'm blocked creatively it's generally because I'm overwhelmed and too much in my head.
Tackle the overwhelm (I talk about this in a previous post)
Now let's step into your place of creativity.
Say to yourself: I allow myself of feel (insert whatever emotion youre feeling). And just breathe into those beautiful lungs. Let the emotion settle. Don't try and escape it. Let yourself feel it. If doesn't have to be immersing yourself in it. Wallowing. Just don't push it away. Accept it. And say to yourself. I move through this (insert emotion here). _________________________________
Now close your eyes and step into where you're feeling that emotion. Visualise the creative block and breathe into it. Now visualise something that fills you with joy. A moment in time. Laughter with a friend. Dancing (dance if you feel like it). Whatever it is for you. Let that emotion fill your body. That joy.
Now visualise yourself being creative or the last time you were really creative. How did it Feel? Where did you Feel It? What did it look like? Feel it in your body. Take a moment to sit here.
Now ask your body. Do I need anything else. An answer should pop into your head. Invite that.
Now open your eyes and unless you're burning with creative juices. Go away and do something that occupies your hands. Not your mind. Don't think about what you've just done. Just think about the activity you're doing. Washing dishes etc.This allows the pressure of having to be creative to be removed.
Now put pen to paper or brush to canvas etc. Feel the joy. That moment of visualisation of creativity and just let what comes out to flow. It might not be what you were seeking. But it's what you need.

When was the last time you had a really good hug? An hour ago? Yesterday? Last month?
Well, grab your partner, friend or a surprised colleague because it's official guys, cuddles are litterally one of the best things you can do for your physical and mental health.
Releasing all kinds of yummy hormones like oxytocin, hugs help us bond and connect with people on a deeper level, not to mention they make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Embraces are good for our blood pressure and our hearts; studies have found that cuddles help us to relax, alleviating our worries as a natural stress reliever and reducing the amount of cortisol (a stress hormone) we release.
Apparently, kids who are hugged lots when they're young may also grow into less stressed adults, and people who give more hugs, tend to receive more hugs in return.
Can't bring yourself to initiate an embrace with someone in case it ends up as some kind of awkward body bump?
Well it seems like other kinds of physical contact like hand-holding or having someone's arm around your shoulders might also do the trick.
If all else fails, just smile at people more often.
Smiles are really contagious, so its highly likely you'll have the smile returned, which is great at making us feel good and immediately helping to put us in a better mood 😀
