How to describe tonight's leg session? I got fucked up. Plain and simple.
After taking a 3 day rest I've never felt so ready to get stuck into it as I did today but fuck me that was one of the most painful sessions I've had in a long time. I experience pain all the time when reaching failure and pushing heavy weight but this just took the biscuit. At one point all the blood must have left my brain and gone straight to my legs because I couldn't pull a sentence together. Ive joked about this before but I can say with certainty now, I will definitely need knee replacements 🙃

RIDE YOUR OWN WAVE, if you spend your time trying to look like another person, worrying about weights other people lift, or worrying about other people in general then you have already strayed off your path. FOCUS ON YOU, I may not be the biggest, strongest, or best looking. But I can control the savage intensity that I bring to the gym. I have a vision and a plan in my head that I am willing to execute at all costs. Do what YOU gotta do, do what YOU like to do, and find enjoyment with each moment of life. Chasing another person, or someone else's goals will only slow you down from what you need to do. There is no clear cut path to success, but I'll follow my own damn path until I'm dead and can't walk it anymore. Shit happens, and life sucks sometimes, but if being depressed a year ago taught me anything it's that with the right mindset and outlook on things, there's always a chance to grow and take a step forward. If anyone following this page isn't sure what they're path might be, or is feeling down, don't ever hesitate to come at me for some advice or support. I'd love to help any person I can grow physically, and mentally. I get a lot of support on this page and in just over a year of having it, it's become a facet of release for me. To spread any knowledge I might have, while gaining some along the line as well. My thoughts today...... 💣Before the workout: Tired. Something in life has me feeling discouraged today. Accountable because of the 21 day group that just started. 💣During: Did this workout get harder since the last time I did it. Why do I feel like my energy is zapped? 💣After: Proud. Dead. Surprised that I made it through to the end. 💥 Not every workout is going to be a stellar performance. Some workouts are going to make you feel like your legs are made out of concrete and your lungs are on fire. But as long as you're pushing to the BEST of your ability you're accomplishing greatness! ➡ I work with a lot of people who start their journey excited about what they see for themselves in the future. Where they see their health, where they see their weight.... They have BIG goals for themselves. ➡ And then it gets hard - maybe harder than they anticipated - and they give up. Sometimes they give up completely; sometimes they give this thing up and try the NEXT thing that will be the "magic formula".... But the truth is that until the person individually chooses to stop quitting when the heat turns up a bit and just keep pushing through, they're going to be CONSISTENTLY searching for the next thing
There is no trick. No magic formula. Jumping from thing to thing isn't going to work. Until your MINDSET changes and you making NOT giving up your non-negotiable in life, you're going to keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying.... wheels spinning and spinning and spinning.
