Another day another salad πŸ₯— #consistency haha πŸ˜… how long can she keep up the salad posts for, you ask? Foreverrrrr πŸ™ƒ

Trying to really sort my life out, had a great (but loooong) convo with IRD & with the bank today, getting those finances in order.  I feel like I'm clearing bits of my mind out at the moment getting things like that sorted...like focusing on myself & all aspects of my life - I feel in control. (One more layby to pay off πŸ˜‚ totally in control of it πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ) but yeah, makes a big difference. I'm a list person, I write lists, I highlight things, I doodle. Writing down what you need to do, when you want to do it by, how you can do it etc - whatever it is you are feeling overwhelmed by, I swear it helps. Sometimes I can't sleep so I write a list of what I need to do (pay, exercise, eat - whatever it is) and it's so calming. The first step to feeling on top of it all, cause lets be real, even the small things can seem like big things to the most organised, "have it all together" people, at certain times in their lives.

However, perhaps even more important than these principles is consistency. No matter how smart we are with our training, if we are not consistent with what we are doing we won't get anywhere.

Everyone knows the benefits of getting coaching at this stage. Its a lot more effective, safe and usually more fun. Another benefit though that a lot of people don't think about is the accountability aspect.

For some people it might not be that they don't know what to do, but that they just can't bring themselves to do it. Whether that be because of time constraints, lack of motivation or just pure laziness😴.

A good coach will make sure you're making your sessions, ensure that all those sessions are of a good quality and that you're not just "showing up" for the sake of it and probably most importantly keep you on track with you eat and drink.

Just like every year I'm super proud of all the members and coaches at the gym who participated. Keep having faith in your abilities πŸ’ͺ....…A few months back I was just hoping to be physically healthy to compete due to all the setbacks throughout the year including bronchitis the 1st open workout πŸ˜‚. #keepitreal post! My #training has not exactly been going according to the #plan lately. I was struck down with flu last month which I somehow managed to work through but had little energy for anything else. Teaming that with 3-4 hours of restless, broken sleep and trying to manage my time differently as my #workload increases saw me take a back step so I could make sure I did all of my jobs to the best of my ability. Today I was able to get the morning off work so managed to hit the #gym for a cheeky #legday. I have lost a lot of #strength in a short space of time which is a little uninspiring so I'm really hoping to try and find #balance and #consistency to try and work back up to where I was and beyond. I'm confident that this won't take too long! We shall see 😬

I used to see boundaries as bad. I thought i'd lose my sense of freedom and feel restricted.

While boundaries can be about keeping some stuff out, it's more so about keeping the GOOD STUFF in. Keeping the healthy, nourishing things in your life, with consistency, and making them a PRIORITY.
