How much I have had to learn #contentment in the last few months ...it has freed from worries and taught me to rely on God at all times and a reminder of His commitment to me. 😊😴

Today #ontheblog we’re talking about comparing your talents to someone else’s talents. When we stay confined in the bounds of comparison, we cannot grow. We stagnate our ability to learn from others when we constantly want what they have and choose to sit in the muck of our own insecurity.
It is so incredibly tempting to look to the right or left and allow ourselves to be bogged down in insecurity. But when we consider others as better than ourselves and allow everyone else’s talents to overshadow ours, we miss out on opportunities God has given us to shine and to grow. When I’m so laser focused on all that I cannot do, how can I serve Him with a humble heart?
Let’s see the value that lies in knowing the worth in our own gifts and abilities, shall we friends?
Number 16 of the 20 Cans of Success.
When you are discontent, you always want more, more, more. Your desire can never be satisfied. But when you practice contentment, you can say to yourself, 'Oh yes - I already have everything that I really need.'
Have a question around personal finances, stewardship, or budgeting? Would love to share anything I learned from paying off $76k in student loans. I also like simple living and viewing resources in light of eternity.
I'll be around until about 8:30pm EST to answer questions.

10/10 day. When was the last time you had a 10/10 day and felt 10/10? I’ve just realised that I haven’t for a few days. My negative voice has been distracting me, telling me I’m too busy to enjoy the good things in the day and that I must chip away at my ‘to do’ list. Tomorrow I am going to aim for a 10/10 day and work on my ‘to be’ list instead. Anyone care to join me? #happiness#contentment#gratitude#excitement#fun#laughter#beingpresent
