Quite a few of the homes I work on are older, it is not uncommon to be in a home ranging from the early 1900's to the 1960's. Homes of this age (especially the homes closer to 1900) have their own unique set of issues. One of those issues us that not all of these homes have an upgraded electrical system - in my area, working on a home that is still utilizing the original knob & tube wiring is not a rarity. Neither is homes that still use glass fuses.... The easiest way to deal with the electrical issues of older homes? Not needing electric! This Dewalt Flexvolt air compressor enables us to that quite well! I am quickly falling in love with this compressor...😍 @dewalttough #flexvolt#dewalt#cordless#aircompressor#acarpentersjournal#yourhousewright#nocords#batterypower#contractor

Here’s a video of us using the Woodcore bits from @kv_enterprises . Drilling our building like this are so much faster, safer, and make a cleaner job for insulators. Our contractors love it and so do we. I recommend checking them out if your looking for a way to stream line your team. #Repost @kv_enterprises with @get_repost
Here is a video of one of our bits in action. This is one of our customers sites and the wood was very wet. The important thing to note here is you no longer need to set up ladders and drill up throughout the the top plates from below. Also since chainsaws are banned no need to use reciprocal saws. Drilling your buildings out this way is much faster and safer. Many plumbing and electrical contractors have started to adopt this method and purchase our bits to do so. Also though it’s not shown in this video we can drill right through bottom plates,2x10 boxer joists and right through the 2 top plates of the floor below.
