Photos from our Mexican cooking class today @pansonfire taken by a 6 years old, who understood the briefing very well : only hands during prep time. It was her sisters 10 birthday party and we all had lots of fun ! We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with children in a regular basis. They love learning new skills, cooking their own food and most of all eating it !! #children#cooking#cookingwithchildren#cookingwithkids#birthday#birthdayparty#cookingclasses
Did you know that #kelowna is one of the hardest places in Canada to find work?
The Start Fresh Project seeks to nourish our #community at the most fundamental level with education, employment skills, building healthy residents and a strong support network.
In our new community kitchen space we will host boutique cooking classes, run our #catering kitchen and host small events. The space will create opportunity for employment for the people who come through our programs.

Remember, we are having an auction of our furniture, fixtures and kitchen equipment at Preserving Place on Tuesday, May 9 at 2pm. Come see us! Since today is our last day open for sales, Martha wanted to share this letter with you:
It is sad and not sad to close Preserving Place. We had 3+ great years of business, made many new friends, and accomplished what we set out to do. We proved that if you use the finest ingredients, local when in season, customers would understand the value and pay what truly delightful jams, pickles and condiments are worth. We won awards for our fine foods. Preserving Place fed my creative side and allowed me to express my love of hospitality, beauty, family, friends and the South. It’s a tough world out there, so we wanted Preserving Place to feel like a welcome, safe home for our staff and customers.
We appreciate that people like the idea of supporting local, small businesses, but we learned that it takes more than talk, you have to make the effort to seek out your favorite places on a regular basis and spend money there. Or they won’t be there. Eaters have learned to actively support farm to table restaurants, so now it is time to do the same thing for artisan makers and local businesses. This is how consumers in our capitalist system effect change. It is in your power to do it.
We are proud that we were social entrepreneurs and a female-owned business. America is one of the few places this could happen. This is a land of dreams, and we are glad we pursued ours. But now it is time to celebrate good memories and return to practicing law in a company’s Legal Department. I need to find the right position, but I know the right thing will come along. Law is my home, and it is time to return to it.
We had the most awesome employees, many of whom have been so sweet to come by and say farewell, and the most wonderful customers, who also have done the same. I will miss you all and hope to run into you at Atlanta farmers markets!
Good morning friends! It's a gorgeous day here and I'm working in my garden before it gets too hot. A little trivia over here ☺️ I have at least 5 veggies here in view and ready to eat! Can any of my gardener friends name any three? 🌱🌱🌱
The best thing about these pancakes is that you don't have to measure a thing! A little of this, a little of that. Too thick? Add a little more milk. Too thin? Add a little more oatmeal. They're super easy and the kid-friendly. Check the story for the details.
Happiness is a slice of Pizza!
Learn the art of making authentic Pizza, as good as you get in Naples, at our upcoming pizza making class on May 23. A fun class that you're family will love you for.

✨ @the_good_vibe_getaways Sunrise start to our magical morning🙏🏼 .... When a woman awakens and starts to own all of herself, letting go of the need to cover up or defend herself and instead accepts all of her, fears, wounds, false programs, flaws, icky moods, fat thighs, sweaty armpits etc and supports her unique imperfect self instead of judging, rejecting and wishing that she were different or like somebody else, she has entered the promised land of freedom and self empowerment.
She starts to drop the posing, defence mechanisms, competitiveness, jealousy and all the false gods that she previously used as crutches, false images or places to hide parts of herself... What is left is a woman of strength, courage, fortitude and a woman that is compassionately understanding towards others because she is able to give to others what she has given to herself... She becomes fearlessly authentic, she finds her voice, there is no longer shame, therefore she no longer needs to hide or change any part of herself... She's able to overcome any fears of rejection for being true to herself.
Ironically, when a woman claims and accepts her shadow, that which she rejected and suppressed about herself transforms from being dysfunctional to being a strength and the energy that it was previously draining from her becomes available to her. Such a woman gives others permission to accept themselves as they are, her own freedom becomes contagious.
Through being openly relaxed in her power she empowers others.✨🙏🏼💕
#asparagus Lasagne with crunchy local asparagus, an asparagus béchamel sauce and lots of Parmigiano Reggiano. This is one of the dishes that you can learn to make during our cooking classes. You'll want at least two portions. Large ones.
Had a great day training and working with our team at Non-Essentials in Palmer, Alaska. If you are ever up in this beautiful next of the woods stop by and check out the huge Olivelle display in this fun store. #alaska#olivelle
Veggie burger love with Karimah! She has been supporting us since we started 5 or 6 years ago, amazing spirit who brought her mom to class today. It's so great to watch people journey towards plants and discover new and exciting recipes along the way. Folks make friends in our classes, learn about ingredients, cooking techniques, even local restaurants that promote vegan options. We share the love as much as we possibly can, and receive just as much back, if not more, in return. 💖 Tonight we rest, tomorrow we teach dumplings! #vegansofig#veggieburger#love#veganseattle#vegancookingschool#homemade#cookingclasses#fireandearthkitchen
