Syn•er•gy: the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
We came together with organizations from the Boulder community that act on a value we all shared: protecting our outdoor spaces. We are so honored to have taken part in the #TrailRevival clean-ups with non-profits such as Conservation Colorado and Wildlands Restoration Volunteers. Our clean-up kicked off the inaugural #COpubliclandsday , which had over 150 events celebrating the Colorado outdoors!
Thanks to our sponsors: @zealoptics, @kleankanteen, @ospreypacks, @averybrewingco, @stoneweardesigns. Here's a highlight video of the projects that happened leading up to our @redrocksco show! ❤️link to Full length film in bio.
15 year old Tristin Wickland is maybe the fishiest kid in Colorado. I met him for a coffee with his Mom a few weeks ago and he told me about how he caught this extra ordinary Cuthroat in the high country of Colorado on a rod made with a willow stick! A true Fishpond hero. "On a wet, cold August morning my dad and I set out with compass and an idea of where we were heading to find a high mountain lake in the Colorado Rockies. After hours climbing over and under deadfall, navigating rockfalls and exhausting climbing, my dad said, "Tristan! where's the fly rod?" We retreated down over the same rockfalls and deadfall forest, but found no sign of my beautiful hand built fly rod. With nightfall near, we set camp in the rain. Determined to cast a line, I fashioned a fly rod from a willow branch with purple athletic tape guides, and used fly line I found in my pack, 12 inches of 5x and a fly that was stuck in my pocket. A little ingenuity and determination goes along way.
Ps the fly rod was in the car the whole time
Colorado Public Lands Day, which happened this week, is a day for all of America. A day to celebrate the true core of our cultural identity. Our country is threatened by a desire of the very few to sell our Federally protected lands to individual states, who do not have the ability to financially manage. Selling our sacred ground to private interests is not in America's best interest. Please be vocal and stand up against this rising momentum. Pubic lands/ public hands. As part of #COPublicLandsDay , 49 volunteers came together to build 3,168 ft. of new trail! Their work will help increase access to, and expand the variety of, outdoor recreation opportunities for both residents and visitors of the San Luis Valley. They were rewarded with beautiful views, beer donated by @crestonebrewingco, and a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the Baca Wildlife Refuge! See more photos on Facebook.com/VolunteersForOutdoorColorado and find your place at voc.org/volunteer!
An incredible weekend with my Mom! In celebration of Colorado Public Lands Day, we got to see @elephantrevival up close and personal on Saturday and then at Red Rocks on Sunday! #COpubliclandsday#RedRocksCO
Housework and trip planning took precedence over getting outside yesterday, but I do want to give a late shout out for #copubliclandsday . This is an amazing state with so much to offer - I am exceedingly grateful to be (really, truly, and fully) living here. #coloRADo
I was lucky enough to spend #COPublicLandsDay this past weekend camping and creating a new trail in the breathtakingly gorgeous town of Crestone, CO. If you've never been before, go. NOW! And checkout our badass trail while you're down there. I'm such a huge unapologetic advocate for incredible programs like @voc_colorado who work hard to give back to this place we are all so fortunate enough to call home. I love living in a state that supports protections for our public lands and good 'ol Mother Earth. 💞
Happy (belated) #COpubliclandsday !! This is taken from Colorado National Monument (Parks Service) and looks out on the Bookcliffs (BLM) and Grand Mesa (National Forest). I feel extremely lucky that I get to work and play in Colorado's magnificent public lands every single day. #keepitpublic#optoutside

Today, Colorado becomes the first state to celebrate a designated public lands day. From here forward, the third Saturday in May will be Colorado Public Lands Day, a day to get outside and show support for the phenomenal public-land opportunities in the Centennial State. The 24 million acres of public lands in Colorado are largely responsible for the state's booming outdoor industry, creating 125,000 jobs and pulling in $13.2 billion a year. We're tipping our hats to you today, Colorado.

We love our public lands. For us, they've been a source of inspiration for our music and way of life. We are so grateful to have been a part of the inaugural #CoPublicLandsDay today. Thank you to all the wonderful non-profits and outdoor enthusiasts who continue to protect our home. ❤️ @conservationcolorado
On this lovely bluebird day we celebrated the first annual #copubliclandsday by giving a tour of one of our leased properties on city public land. We love our connection to our public lands and love that we get to have a state holiday to celebrate them! #coproud Thanks to @youngfarmers for organizing!
