La Corbere lighthouse tower is 19 m high and the lamp stands 36 m above high spring tides. It was lit on 24 April 1874 for the first time, and was the first lighthouse in the British Isles to be built of concrete. The beam has a reach of 19 nmi and was automated in 1976.
Last manage shows the lighthouse in high tide when the causeway becomes inaccessible.
The lighthouse at La Corbiere features on the Jersey 5 pound note and the Jersey 20 pence piece.
Dinner @ Corbiere Phare, Jersey 🍽...Delicious. It had been a long time since I last came here & I'm not sure why. It's one of those places you never think to go, but is actually great. Every course was perfect & the portion sizes were just right. I had the ribs to start, steak for main course & the salted caramel brownie for dessert. I wouldn't have changed a thing! Definitely recommend this place for dinner with a view! 💗
