Wimbly Lu, Tyrwhitt Road, Singapore. We ordered the Cottage Pie and the Aglio Olio. Both of us like it very much. Simple, small portion and delicious. It allows us to have some snacks or desserts after the main course. That is the main purpose.
The atmosphere in the cafe at night is slightly noisy than the afternoon time, however, it is a great place to have dinner for two, chill out with couple of friends, enjoy the music and the cozy environment.

Vorspeise: Fischsuppe, Zwischengang: sorbet, Hauptgang: kalbsleber, Nachspeisen: Mousse au chocolat für meine Begleitung und für mich cottage pie mit caramel🤤🤤 Woopwoop. Ich möchte da nochmal hin!!! 🙂
I catered an event last night and had lots of ground beef left over that I hadn't even cooked. I don't do too much meat these days, especially not beef. So 10lbs of beef staring me in the face had me well GREEN... But I don't want to waste food and I am a chef... Soooooo of course I thought meatballs.... But here's why I chose meatballs over anything else I could have done.... I can make #spaghetti and #meatballs with it, or #meatballsub or have yummy roasted veggies and rice with it, or make a #shepherdspie (really a #cottagepie ) or I can stuff in dough add potatoes and gravy and have #meatpies or even put in dough and have #empanadas by adding some seasonings and cheese ..... The possibilities are endless and it means my freezer has ready to go meals for the kiddos at any time or a dinner to share with friends in way less time.
Some secrets for the best meatballs
1. Use white bread not bread crumbs... Take off the crust and use (I tell you how in a minute)
2. Grate your onions, or use a food processor to shred like cheese for you.... Add to the white bread, let the two soak together until the bread is total saturated with onion juice
Reason why? The bread and onions when done like this will almost disintegrate when they mix with the meat and cook leaving behind a juicy meatball with nice subtle onion flavor and you don't have to saute ahead of time because they won't be big chunks!
Fresh #parsley#oregano#garlic all finely chopped/ground, added with an #egg#pork#beef#parmeseanreggiano and of course #saltandpepper make the balls complete.
Simmer in sauce... Cool bag up 4 and throw in the freezer for a #busyday#itwhatsfordinner
