We often look at mesmerizing landscapes and infinite grass fields wondering how nice running through them could be.
I did it, once.
I pulled off my shoes and my socks, I put my camera inside the backpack, I took a deep breath... And I started running; the tickle of the grass on my bare feet, the fresh air inside my lungs, the rising sun coloring the sky with thousands shades of red... For the first time, I felt free.
And it was wonderful; behind me, the bus left, but I didn't care. I started walking through the fields, and later I found myself in the middle of a small village.
There were some old people, four or five kids and some other adults; they looked ad me with surprised faces.
I was walking with bare feet through a field, with a small backpack and a silly shirt.
They offered me some water, which I accepted, since I forgot my water bottle at the hotel; a child asked me why did I run through the field while I had the bus right behind me.
"Because I want to visit my new home on my own, as a free man!"
"Your new home? Where do you live, sir?"
"The whole world is my home. And I want to wander as much as I can!"
