Day 10: Well, we started this trip on 2 wheels and ended on 4...but we made it! Unforgettable, unexpected and sometimes plain ridiculous experiences during our travels through Italy. What an incredible country, with some of the most open, warm and caring people...and SO much to explore. Already looking forward to returning someday! Cassie caught her flight to London and onward to NYC and Houston, while Sebastian took a bus to a train to another bus home to Germany. That's a wrap for country #8 together!
Day 9: Hiking through terraces and vineyards from Manarola to Corniglia in Cinque Terre. Usually, there is an easy hiking trail connecting all 5 villages of Cinque Terre. Due to storms and rock fall, sections of the trails were closed which left a few options: take the train between all the villages or climb up to the hill tops to navigate around any eroded areas, then descend to the next village. Those terraces and hills were steeper than we expected! We spent several hours hiking, then hopped on the train to the beach at Monterosso al Mare and stopped in Vernazza on our way back. If you visit, stop in one of the visitors centers by the train stations to purchase a daily pass that allows unlimited rides between La Spezia and Levanto, including all 5 villages. We highly recommend getting some hiking in rather than only relying completely on the trains--the views and serenity are not to be passed up!
Oh, the places we have gone. I haven’t posted on any social media for a while, but @jonibilderback just finished editing some photos from our travels this summer. I’m feeling grateful today that I’ve been able to fulfill my desire to travel the United States, and I owe most of that to you, Joni. Thank you for teaching me how to #roadtrip properly aka skip hotels and #sleepinthecar
Yesterday was our one year nomadiversary! A few fun facts: 8,440 bus miles logged, 37 campsites, 12 national parks and monuments, 13 states, and hundreds of hiking miles on our soles. Our current state, Oregon, is the first state that is all new for both of us. We set out with no knowledge of how long we were going to do this, but figured the business would be our barometer. In reality, we keep adapting and conforming the business to fit this lifestyle that has us hooked. In the beginning, the epic undertaking of selling everything we own was a daunting slog. And now, we can’t imagine settling down and returning to stationary life. Who knows how many more miles we’ll burn, but we do know that we will continue to Go That Road. #nomadiversary#gothatroad
Beautiful day with beautiful people! Ba Be National Park has a lake that is 145 m above sea level and in the middle of a amazing national park renowned for its many limestone peaks. It is sheer beauty!
Feels like something from 'King Kong'
Puong Cave along the Nang river is an awesome 300 metre long tunnel cave through a mountain! A great place to stop and catch a breeze with shelter from the blazing sun 😃
This past weekend we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary! And even though we've been together for the past 4 years we didn't start traveling as much as we do now until our honeymoon last year. Our honeymoon was what drove us straight into wanderlust and the reason we started @lavieentravel.
Whenever we told our friends and family that we were taking off and traveling to 4 countries after our wedding we kept hearing that it would be a "once in a lifetime trip." We decided right there and then that none of the places we see need to be only once in our lifetime. We plan on traveling together until we're old and gray, and hope that you guys do too!
We are so lucky to each have a great travel partner and can't wait to share our adventures with you guys for many years to come! 😊
Life is Better With You By My Side 🌺 After 3 years of traveling, we are finally home for the holidays! 🌿Visiting Jaimie's family in the U.S has been amazing and we are very excited to celebrate Luke's first 🔹REAL🔹 Halloween! (England doesn't celebrate like America!) Can't wait to dress up, trick or treat, and decorate some pumpkins! 🍂Happy October Everyone! 🎃🕸
Heidelberg was definitely our favorite stop in Germany. Gorgeous buildings, yummy food, and the nicest people. Heidelberg was such a charming village, and we're thankful for the memories we created there. 💕
Fill your life with adventures, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show. 🌟 (Bonus points if you do it all within 24 hours!) Partner in crime: @byurko

Week three Brazil 🇧🇷
✖️Brazilian wish bracelets known as Bahia Bands have a rich history spanning over 200 years & have recently become more popular throughout the world. Today, the Bahia Ribbons are worn mainly around the wrist, the ankle or tied on a church gate. They bring the wearer good luck & each band’s colour conveys a message or a desire. 🌎
✖️Originally called Fitas or Bonfim Ribbons, Bahia Bands were silk ribbons with writings done by hand in silver or with ink. Bonfirm Wish Ribbons first appeared at the Church of Bonfirm in Bahia in 1809 and were originally known as the “Measure of Bonfirm” because they were 47 cms long; exactly the length of the right arm of the statue of Jesus Christ displayed on the high altar of the church.⛪️ ✧ @visitearraialdajuda 🇧🇷
