One of the most interesting things I have found is that a mind in fear is incapable of trust..... But it IS capable of courage. Courage then becomes a bridge to the ease found in logic and reason where trust can begin to form, and beyond that Love, and then peace & serenity, when true faith can take its roots. Courage is therefore this astonishingly powerful bridge between fearful states to loving states, regardless of the amount of uncertainty. ~ZK
Courage is not the absence of fear. So immensely grateful today and every day to be courageous amidst all of life's many lessons. The full scope of the human experience never ceases to amaze me. I can't help but see that we are all one, that we all come from the same source, that all of our experiences are shared at some level. And I am filled with compassion for everyone suffering, everyone lashing out at others, living a life filled with fear and confusion. Living in fear sucks, I did it for a very long time and I see how my fears kept me small and scared. How they paralyzed me into giving in, not speaking my truth, and certainly not walking it. The most wonderful thing this experience has taught me to do is to see deeply if my actions stem from my truth or from my fears. And so in the end, it hasn't been a piece of vegan cake, but I still can't help but bow in gratitude. #humanexperience#courage#fears#braveheart ❤🙏🌍
Wow. If you are a fan of @thetragicallyhip, loved @gorddownieofficial, or want to learn more about the history of indigenous people in Canada, you have to listen to and watch #secretpath . It's the story of #ChanieWenjack , a 12 year old boy who died in the Ontario wilderness in 1966 after running away from a residential school, trying to get back to his family. Gord turned this tragic story into beautuful music to put the spotlight on a dark part of Canadian history. The illustrations by @JeffLemire are amazing and chilling. I cried through the entire @cbc special. "Son. When you dance I'll be on your shoulder and you'll feel it." #gorddownie#canada#anishinaabe#courage
