Today I tried a cronut from @dominiqueansellondon for the first time ever. I've followed Dominique Ansel for ages and this was definitely an awesome experience. Ironically I'll have to say that whilst it was tasty, I'm somewhat disappointed. What I thought was going to be light and flakey and combining my favourite aspects of two of my favourite pastries was in fact somewhat over-fried and a little stodgy. The raspberry and peach filling was delicious, and the concept I'm still a huge fan of, but I definitely feel as though this could be executed a lot better. In any case, I'm hugely grateful that I get to have amazing foodie experiences like this and tip my proverbial hat to Dominique Ansel himself with respect and admiration for his work. Now onto vegan street food later tonight! 🍩
Is it just me or are there anyone who also enjoys devouring a bunch of indulgent pastries and sweets for breakfast?
More sweets from@dabjapan because their creation never disappoints.❤️
Apricot caramel and lemon sugar cronut(yes, best cronut I ever had), chocolate banana monkey Le religeusse and mentaiko focaccia in the shape of an onigiri.
Can't wait for the weekend!
It's FRIDAY 🎉🎉 we tried something a little different than our usual donut this week with the Croinut slider from @whiskcreamery. I know it's not technically a donut but what a beautiful hybrid of two classic treats! 😍
This is the roasted peanut gelato (additional Nutella and crushed pistachio on top) sandwiched in a fresh croinut ($8.90). The pastry was beautifully crisp and a structural marvel with so many layers- although eating it was slightly tricky! 8.5/10 in our #donutranking 🍩🍩🍩
