I'm not sure if I like this picture so I may delete it 🤷🏻♀️ - what do you guys think? Also GUYS I WANT TO GET TO 800 SO BAD I've been so stuck 😕! So the photo is realllyyy dark - much darker than I meant it to be 😶😶 Woops. My hand looks weird all taped with a feather. I tried to be cool 🤦🏻♀️ Also if you scroll right there's me being a spaz and moving - it looked kind of cool I guess 😂
YA ITS FRIDAYYY 💜 And you're probably thinking this is the first Friday I've posted which it probably is 😂 Anyway I'm so glad its Friday because I'm so tired and have so much work to do - I have no clue how I'm going to do it all 😕 On lighter note I'm actually calmer with the work and plus I've been reading more which is always good 📖
QOTD: Have you guys watched any really good tv shows that I can watch later after my final year? (done in 5 months-ish)
Good morning 😊
I'm hurting all over and I'm still really tired but yesterday was amazing 😍
Today I'm going to finish ACOWAR 😱 I'm not sure yet if that's a good or a bad thing 😭
Have a lovely day everyone and smile 😊
I have been reading back and forth on this, so now I'll ask here instead. IS there an order to reading these two series?
Does it spoil something to read the duology before the trilogy? Will anything even make sense? 😅
"You still may die in the Dregs."
Inej's dark eyes had glinted. "I may. But I'll die on my feet with a knife in my hand." ------------------------------------
INEJ: Bitter coffee, ginger, black pepper ------------------------------------
Thank you #bookstagram for introducing me to the Six of Crows duology 🦅(that's an eagle but k). As soon as I finished reading, I knew my next project would be Inej related. This candle smells like a cinnamon-gingerbread latte with a little extra spicy kick. And doing a whole vintage thing with the labels.🙃 #inejghafa
The UK is having such good weather at the moment! I like it, but when your work uniform is all black and long-sleeved, it makes working in this heat so awful! I wish I could just sit in the sun with ice-cream but I have a holiday to finish saving for!
Though I love these bookmarks I ordered recently! They're some of my favourite quotes from the Six of Crows duology 💙

"Has anyone noticed this whole city is looking for us, mad at us, or wants to kill us?"
"So?" said Kaz.
"Well, usually it's just half the city." - Crooked Kingdom, Leigh Bardugo
❔What kind of character do you prefer? Hero, Villain or Anti hero? Tell me, tell me!!!
these were a few of my birthday spoils this month ✨ i already finished Slade House which was awesome! the plot was super weird but Mitchell's writing absolutely blew me away - I'm excited to read more of his books eventually ☺️ •
in other news, i finally started trying to read ACOWAR (which i am borrowing) but i find that since i read the first two so long ago I'm really struggling to keep up 🙈 as much as it hurts me i think I'm going to put it down for a few months until i order the box set and i can read the whole series again as one 💙✨ •
on another note, i suddenly have a lot of free time on my hands and I'm trying to think of productive ways to keep myself busy so i don't end up spending all day everyday in bed reading. 💀 what do you guys do to keep busy during a vacation or a slow patch with work/school? #books#bookstagram#reading#bookworm#bookaholic#crookedkingdom#sladehouse#milkandhoney
"Don't get too excited," Genya said. "It's temporary." She reached for one of the roses on the table and plucked a pale pink petal. She held it up to my cheek, and the color bled from the petal onto my skin, leaving what looked like a pretty flush. Then she held a fresh petal to my lips and repeated the process. "It only lasts a few days," she informed me. "Now the hair."
Which Grisha order would you want to be?
I'd love to be a Corporalki Healer or a Materialki Tailor like Genya. The way she put make-up to Alina was just so cool. Magic!

@_wordsonpaper_ tagged me in the #beautyandthebeasttag which is a really cool tag.
Tale as Old as Time - (popular trope you will never get tired of) hate to love relationships.
Belle - (book you bought for the cover that's just as beautiful inside) Illuminae, I thought it sounded cool, but the cover as just so beautiful and the story is amazing.
Beast - (Book you didn't expect much from but pleasantly surprised you) 😬 don't really have anything, if I think I'm not going to like it, then I don't read it. I don't like wasting my time reading something bad, when I could be reading something good.
Gaston - (a book everyone likes that you don't) The Selection Series. 😬 I don't like how much girl hate and sexism is in this series.
Lefou - (sidekick you like more then the main) probs IKO. I love Cinder, but Iko is just amazing.
Mrs. Potts, Chip, Lumiere and Cogsworth - (A Book that helped you through a difficult time or taught you something important) 😬 I wasn't reading when I was going through tough stuff. I read a ton when I was little but stopped around 8th grade and didn't pick it up again until 11th. And during that time was when I dealt with the hardest mental stuff. So I don't really have an answer
Something There - (A book or series that you didn't like at first but it grew on you) I don't have to any of these. If I don't like a book then I don't read it: BUT, I guess Eragon. I tried to read it when ideas eight, but I couldn't get through it, I read it again a couple years later and loved it.
Be Our Guest - (fictional character you want to have for dinner) I have a whole dinner party planned! Chubs from Darkest Minds, Luna Lovegood, Winter and Thorne and Cinder from Lunar Chronicles, Violet, Klaus and Sunny from Series of Unfortunate Events. .
"But wasn't that what every girl dreamed? That she'd wake and find herself a princess? Or blessed with magical powers and a grand destiny? Maybe there were people who lived those lives. Maybe this girl was one of them. But what about the rest of us? What about the nobodies and the nothings, the invisible girls? We learn to hold our heads as if we wear crowns. We learn to wring magic from the ordinary. That was how you survived when you weren't chosen, when there was no royal blood in your veins. When the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway."
No matter how dark this duology may seem, it is exactly what we need. This is how you write a great YA piece of literature. We desperately need more of this. This is what you shove in the hands of the confused soon to be adult readers. This is what you shove in the faces of the biased haters. This is what you share with those searching for a new read. This, many times over.
Six of Crows, Crooked Kingdom - 5README☆
'There was no part of him that was not broken, that had not healed wrong, and there was no part of him that was not stronger for having been broken.' (From Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo)
Despite the beautiful book covers and tote bag design.. this is a pretty ugly photo 😂
Anyway, I'm hoping to start Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo ASAP. It's the second book in the Six of Crows duology, but after reading Six of Crows, I don't really know what to expect anymore - I loved Bardugo's original Grisha trilogy, and everyone said the Six of Crows duology was many times better so I guess I had way too high expectations, causing Six of Crows to be a slight letdown. :/ I'm just hoping Crooked Kingdom will live up to its hype!
I've been pretty out of it lately ever since I got back from my vacation - my body still hasn't adjusted to Singapore timing, so I'm sleeping at 6am, waking at 3pm and basically not really doing anything with my life, not even reading. I just hope that starting a new book will give me some motivation to do something productive!!
Six of Crows got me back into reading about a year ago, and I've constantly wanted to re read it since. I did today and have no regrets!
I was tagged by @_wordsonpaper_ to say more about myself, so here goes! (Anyone who wants to do this should, because I don't know anyone to tag yet!)

Who is your favourite bad ass character?
