Amy has done incredible with her training so far. She has a very strong chase drive. We have done lots of work teaching her to control herself. I'm so proud of her watching her stop herself and break away. It is not easy for her. She's so responsive to the cues. At the beginning she would pull on the end of the lead to try her best to get to all the wildlife in the woods. She couldn't take food as she was too aroused. After some pre-mack work she can now control herself and is calm enough to find food reinforcing.
Bobby had great recall. He then started to get a little ball obsessed, this caused him to not want to return when he had a ball. We played a few games on our walks which encouraged him to come back even with his favourite ball. Notice within these games I don't touch the ball once apart from showing him where it is. I want to build his trust that he won't loose it if he drops it. I would use a long line before we got to this stage.
