This is what cross training looks like at the Tomczak house. (Clean up those weights!! 😂😂). Beachbody's @21dfx and @officialbodybeast were on tap today. Strength training while also completing running training is challenging, but definitely worth it. With Beachbody on demand, we get to choose from so many different workouts depending on our goals and what we are targeting that day. 6-miles tomorrow 😄😄😄
Realized that the weather forecast lied to me. I was going to do 4 miles/4-100m sprints but I'll save that for tonight.
Everyone was out of the house and I was finished cleaning so I had to do something. Got my @niketraining app out and did the Leg-pocalypse program and I know I'll feel this later. I love it because my legs are so weak and the workout doesn't require any equipment. I did use my TV @apple adapter which I highly recommend for watching anything on the phone.
A couple things to watch out for on the app:
1. When you squat, don't keep your eyes forward. Allow your neck and head to move with the rest of your spine - stiffen it up to keep your spine neutral.
2. When jumping to gain momentum, instead of forcing your arms forward, do the opposite and squeeze your shoulder blades together. You'll thank me later. I won't take credit for that though. I found out the hard way when I did the opposite of what @thebettyrocker taught when I did her challenge. Plus, it just looks more graceful. 😊
11 weeks down, 7 more to go. 😳 I'm still contemplating if I should do a half this weekend.
