If you could take one photo of summer what would it be? This photo says summer all over it. I was out shooting for work and this is one of the photos I got. This lady was watching her children while they learned to surf.
As I lent against the railing taking in this hidden gem, a lady bug crawled around my elbow and continued on his way...I paused for a moment before taking this shot and reminded myself of how many other life forms there are. Seems silly but it was a beautiful reminder 🐞🐜🕸🌱✨🦖
Packed these into the luggage 😉✈️ ... Any guesses where I’m going? And who are my two favourite players?

Brave little fella... he got caught out when a big wave rolled in and took his home. Then an ugly black crow swooped in for some dinner. The little crab did not give up without a fight. There are so many things that try to take us out - don’t give up. Fight for what is important in your life. And if you are struggling, talk to someone. There is always help available. #lovethegreatlakes#newsouthwales#Forster#Tuncurry
30+degC today 😎💙 but you may find me somewhere a little cooler ❄️ as we’ve been geared up by Ice Monster Macquarie Park, who are also at @erina.ice.arena. Super happy with all the help fitting us with all our Jackson/Bauer/CCM skates, and sharpening on the spot!, bags and gear; no guesses whose the white skates and bright pink bag belongs too lol. Now for help with my two left feet 🤪⛸🌟?!

There was this French dude once, painting a bridge over a pond with water lilies... over and over again... at different times of the day, different times of the year... he eventually became known as one of the founders of Impressionism, Claude Monet. If he had lived in Cairns he might have chosen this spot... when I'm there I kinda get what he was after... 🙏🏼
The boys checking into the universe during a filming expedition. I like this pic because it makes me think sometimes we are so buried in our phones that we can often miss what’s happening all around us.
Breaking the rules
There are so many ‘rules’ in photography, between thirds, highlights, horizons, composition, it’s sooo hard to keep up. So today I broke them, trying something I wouldn’t usually but at a place (and with raw files) I LOOOVED! .
I have also included the original shot as part of the #shootyourstory#lightroomCC competition with @itchban and @lightroom

Last Tuesday afternoon I experienced something I have never tried before - Storm Chasing.
I headed down to Lady Macquarie's Chair with @sam.ison.photos, @kalanrobb, @andrew_tiddy and @_danieltran_ as we saw an incoming storm from the west.
We were hoping to capture some lightning and an awesome cloud shelf as it crossed over the city.
I had one of those moments where I thought what on earth am I doing as this cloud shelf passed straight over us. It was one of the toughest conditions I have shot in. There was rain, extreme wind, while there I was fighting with my umbrella, trying to keep my camera dry and trying to capture the storm.
My umbrella popped inside out twice, the wind and rain were hurling towards me and I had to keep wiping my lens as it was getting covered with water drops....it basically wasn't much fun. I actually thought I had missed the best part of the storm cell as I was battling with my umbrella so much.
But as it happens, when reviewing my shots, I actually captured a couple of frames of the best part of the storm. I couldn't believe it, because at the time it just felt like a massive blur as I was trying to survive the intensity of mother nature.
So here you have it, an incredible shot of an incredible, crazy experience.
