Completely unrelated photo because I didn't take any selfies tonight 😭😭 ANYWHO! Most of you guys wouldn't know this, but I get really bad anxiety squating in front of a lot of people, or just people in general but tonight I did 205# in front on a room full on MEN! A few of them were cheering me on, which made me feel so damn good! After hitting 205 as my top set I dropped back down to 145and got really light headed and managed to miss the rack and almost had the whole bar fall. Smh. But even though I've been up all day, just got off work and it was my second gym sesh, I hit 205 for a triple.... I'll take it!!! Good night insta! ❤️❤️ .

I've been dealing with some health stuff lately so unfortunately I won't be doing any heavy weight or crazy workouts any time soon but I'm trying to stay positive and motivated to still go to the gym everyday wether I feel up to it or not. Today as you can tell by my attire, I was NOT up to it but I at least got out of bed and got my blood flowing. I'm praying for a better day tomorrow. With my healthy eating I was able to maintain my weight and I lost two inches in my waist and hips. Small progress is still progress. My very first week when I was ready and willing to do the proper work, I committed to 7 days of 30 mins of exercise a day.

I started with 3-5lbs weights. I pressed pause. I modified and I even put down the weights🤤.

I am on my 23rd week of my journey. My second month into another new program for me. This month is the PUSH month so I am pushing towards big goals.
.
These past 2 weeks were the first time I attempted movements with 20lb dumbbells. I did not think I was capable of that this early on my journey😮.
.
This may seem far for you or a discouraging length of time but this journey is growth. We do not grow tremendously overnight. This takes patience.
.
I do not show you this to gloat because today I put down the 15-20lbs and picked up the 10s still. I share my journey to show you the real, the struggle, the daily commitment and goals it takes to BE HEALTHY.

My wish for you is to just start. A walk. A squat. A 1lb dumbbell. This process takes time and it starts with you setting a goal for yourself ✌🏻🏋🏼‍♀️❤️.

Dont eat much Chinese food. Been even longer since I got any kind of fortune cookie. Found a pretty good place near the gym where I was training and decided to get a fortune cookie to see what fake "fortune" I would come up with. Dug my hand deep in the basket and picked out a random one each of the 3 different times I went there - these are the 3 I picked out. For some reason I kept them, and still carry them around with me everyday. A few months later, I was actually considered for a promotion and was some how offered the job I had worked my whole life for.

Thankful for the trials and tribulations that have molded and continue to mold me into the person I am today. 
Thank God its Monday and I am blessed with another opportunity to have an amazing life - an angel for a girlfriend that somehow tolerates me, great family and friends, and a job where I am able to help people change their lives through health and fitness. 
Thanks to everyone who played a part in making dreams become reality - we are just getting started.

Since I'm still kind of hurting from the other day, I had to do a high rep, low weight workout today while also trying NOT to activate my glutes( because it's so painful when I do) although it wasn't my best workout, I'm glad I at least got up and out of bed!! Peep that music though!! Anyone else listen to this when their working out!? #RehabTime .

I find faults in my body everyday, sometimes I think my biceps aren't big enough, sometimes I feel like my thighs are too thick, sometimes I wish I had abs.. the list changes everyday. That's my drive to keep working out when I don't want to, that's my drive to make healthier meal choices instead of pizza and chips every day. - 
If you want to change something you have to work long and hard for it. Nothing in this world worth having comes easy. ✌
