#EmbraceTheFade - The Sequel. Swipe for more!!
The beautiful vivid color in the upper left of the first picture was done on August 1st by the fantastic @j.hairistry. The lovely pastel fade out you see in the lower right of the first photo is my hair today. The 2nd and 3rd photos show more details of the fading process!
I listen to my hairdresser and wash my hair in ice cold water ❄💧, no more than once a week... I usually try to go about 7 to 10 days between washes, and that's the only reason I still have some of the color left in my hair... BUT GET THIS: the last 2 washes have been in HOT WATER 🔥🌡, in order to prepare for my new color in a couple weeks, because otherwise, I'd still have brighter color!
I was going back and forth about posting this because one of my biggest insecurities is showing. I HATE showing my tummy. But after consideration I'm posting it because I should accept myself and all my flaws. Working on my own body positivity. Thank you @jannelljay and @___lovestephnails for letting me know that I should post. 😘
While you're still reading, I have a new video posted. Check the link in the bio

......................................... Finding the perfect vegan brunch spot in Chicago was definitely a chore but @geeohhvanna found Uncommon ground and everyone was able to get stuffed and satisfied with the meals. Swipe left if you want to see my deconstructed chilaquiles with soyrizo and tofu scramble. It was really good! ................................................... Check out my latest video. Mentally preparing myself to go from ☀ sunny California to cold and dreary Chicago.
This is a bantu knot out when my hair didn't dry all the way, day 2 lol. I did remoisterize and did a two strand twist with bantu knots so I hope those turn out better. Bantu knots with wet hair just doesn't work for me. Stretch your hair first ladies!
Starting a bit backwards here.
Started my #curlygirl hair journey back in March or April of 2017 I think. Have to go back through my pics and check.
My hair has gone through such a transformation, most days I'm still in shock. Once I post my before pics you'll see what I'm talking about.
This pic: I tried dying my hair with @articfoxhaircolor, their iris green...but I refuse to bleach my hair so these are the results lol
I guess I'll have to use some spray color for halloween.
Products used: @SheaMoisture's Sacha Inchi oil clarifying shampoo before applying dye, then I conditioned with their Fruit Fusion Coconut Water weightless mask after rinsing out the dye.
To style I used Shea Moisture's Sacha Inchi Oil Omega repair curl defining smoothie on soaking wet hair, brushed product through in sections with my 9 row @denmanbrush, and scrunched in some @devacurl's ultra defining gel.
Soaked up excess product and water with a sham wow from the dollar store, air dried completely then fluffed :D
Shout out to @hif3licia for her channel. Don't remember how I found it but she is who inspired me to start this journey and I've never loved my hair more. ♡
