Above is a picture my wife took on a family vacation in Hawaii, it's one of my favorite pictures ever. I'm holding my daughters hand as she overlooks the North Shore of Oahu for the first time. It was absolutely beautiful and I'll never forget the look she had on her face as she marveled at the enormity of the ocean. To me, this photo symbolizes fatherhood. A daughter grasping her fathers hand to make sure she's safe as he guides her through life, showing her new things and teaching her along the way. That's what it's all about. My kids will always know their dad will be there to hold their hand and I'll always be there to do it. When I'm not working, I make every effort to spend all my time with my wife and kids. They are what really matter and I don't want to miss anything. And if you have kids, I encourage you to do the same. Thanks for reading! 👨👩👧👦
Throwback Thursday to our first walk together ... This Saturday will be my 5th time walking for autism awareness, and raising funds along the way. I started out with my goal set at raising $500, now I'm just $100 away from my new $1000 goal. People are truly amazing. It's a very important cause to me, please consider a donation. Thanks! My old man always told me that whatever career I chose, he'd always be proud, no matter what it was. These three, I know, will go to college and be great at whatever they choose. My youngest, I'm sure , will go to Alabama (like her mom) Although, UGA sounds better to me!👍 My two older boys have chosen their own paths and I'm just as proud of them. Nothing beats being a DADDY, nothing! My point... Never give up on your kids no matter what. We don't always like the choices they they make at times but in the end they need to sometimes learn on their own. I'll never give up on mine! #dadlife#daddy#daddysgirls#dadalways#mykids#prouddad#family#nevergiveup#lifelessons#myboys#myboy#ibeleiveinyou#photo#florida#instagram

The past month has been a large death defying roller coaster of a ride. I mean that in the best way possible. Because large death defying roller coasters are a beautiful display of engineering and an even better example of adrenaline engaged partying. They're awesome.
So..... I've quit my job. Yesterday was my last day at @morningglorynaturalfoods. They're my favorite people I've ever worked for and I've earned some of the best friends I'll have throughout my life from here. But we all must grow in order to be full filled in this wild and crazy world. If we adapt to our situations much like animals in the wild, we begin to see and feel different. In a good way. Accept the change, embrace it, live it.
For the first time in my entire life I'm going to take real time for me. Malorrie and I have made the decision to move up to Millinocket. It's time for us to simplify once again. We crave a life of outdoor adventure and working in southern Maine trying to pay bills and live life at the same time simply isn't working for us anymore. We want to sustain ourselves and spend more time in nature. We've been saying this for quite some time now but it's time we actually take action.
We'll spend most of October exploring the land up north and taking care of ourselves. The first fall I've ever had all to myself, with no schedule or plans for anything. As animals we have an instinctual need to be in nature. When we feel the pressure it's important to recognize that and do something about it. We need nature and we need to create. I have an opportunity to do that right now with my two best friends and I'm excited that we're actually doing it. You really don't need all the money in the world to be happy, just your time and your wellbeing. Anything seems possible when you have that.
