Today was my second time volunteering for Be the Difference Day with Lockheed Martin! It's always fulfilling to be part of something bigger than myself and to be able to give back to the community. Similar to last year, we planted daffodil bulbs along the Trinity River to beautify Fort Worth! We're making a difference one bulb at a time, how are you making a difference in your community? @lockheedmartin
Still blooming, part 24.
Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium)
Re-potted my hibiscus with new soil to bring her indoors today.
And bought some spring flowering bulbs and planted in a container, too!
Planting tulips in a container isn't successful for me usually especially the squirrels chew the stems off😥
But this time planted with daffodils hoping to make some kind of difference?
Maybe they won't at least try digging the bulbs?? They don't usually touch my other perennial tulips (planted in the ground) though.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the Daffodils.....#🌼 #💛 #🌿 #🌱 #🍃 #✨ I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud By William Wordsworth
