Simple, sweet tooth approved, naturally sweetened, vegan AND affordable. Let’s be real- I’m 100 on that adaptogenic, collagen filled, fancy buttered smoothie train; but sometimes you just wanna be simple and tame that sugar beast fast. I whipped this cutie up in 3 minutes after pulling some crazy hours. Including being called into surgery in the middle of the night, disrupting my VERY important sleep, in turn waking my sugar beast. —�—�—�—�— All these ingredients are from @traderjoes .
1/2 cup cashew milk (homemade from raw, whole cashews)
A small handful of Blackberries
2 medjool dates
1 Tbsp almond butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Handful of frozen just coconut meat chunks
1Tbsp coconut flakes
1tsp cacao nibs
Pink of Himalayan pink salt
Smoothie bowl time!! I've been adding more veggies to my smoothie bowls, instead of just fruit so I thought I would share it with you!!
Today's smoothie: 1 frozen banana, 1 cup of frozen romaine lettuce, 1/2 cup of frozen peas, about 1/2 cup of frozen broccoli, 1 heaping handful of frozen fruit blend, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed (make sure you grind yours down!! Our bodies can't absorb the nutrients from them in their whole seed form), 1/2 cup of almond milk, 1/2 cup of water.
LOTS of goodies. Starting my day of with fruit AND veggies makes me feel so much better than just fruit 😍 I topped this bowl with frozen berries, cashews, chocolate quinoa crispies (a few posts back), unsweetened coconut flakes, and Kashi's Go Lean original cereal! (Absolutely love this cereal on smoothie bowls. It adds a touch of sweetness and it gives you the crunch😍)
Power through your afternoon with an Avo Tahini Matcha smoothie! Avocado and tahini are rich in filling healthy fats and the tahini serves up some plantbased calcium. Matcha is a green tea with extra antioxidant power! (@avointernational)
Tried my @kikihealth organic #camucamu powder in my smoothie this morning! Camu Camu is a small berry type fruit that grows in the amazon. It has SO much Vitamin C (56x more than a 🍋, 60x more than an 🍊 and 200x more than a 🍌 ounce for ounce!) 👍🏻 Camu Camu is supposed to be good for boosting energy, reducing fatigue and tiredness 🙋🏻 and remove free radicals from the body.
Frozen strawberries, banana, almond milk and @kikihealth Camu Camu powder 💕 plus a squeeze of honey 🍯
Okay so given that it's fall and the #vancouverrain is coming, I was really craving a "fall spices" inspired smoothie. But I've never been a fan of pumpkin in my smoothie so this was the alternative that I came up with!
APPLE SPICE SMOOTHIE
1 apple roasted in the oven at 400 for 10 mins
1/3 raw zucchini
1 cm of fresh ginger
1/3 cup coconut milk
Pinch of stevia or a few drops of liquid stevia
1 scoop of your favourite protein powder (I would suggest unflavoured or vanilla for this recipe) I used @myironvegan sprouted protein powder in vanilla.
Top up with water (depends how thick you like it but I would pour it to the top of where the food is in the blender.)
Pre chop the apple, zucchini, and ginger if you are concerned that you're blender isn't powerful enough. Blend until smooth and enjoy!!!
*TIP: I like to pre chop my zucchini and keep it in the freezer. Zucchini is so easy to add to your smoothie. You can throw it in raw and it's flavour is very mild but you get lots of extra vitamins!

In a mega rush today but luckily I got these @packdco smoothie packs to shove in the freezer for back up! You get two packets of frozen goodies and two sachets to add for that extra boost. I only had Soya milk in the fridge but it tasted lovely with this! They recommend water, fruit juice almond milk or coconut water however mine was still tasty!
This perfect little smoothie that I made for myself this afternoon is one of the loveliest smoothie concoctions I have come up with for a while. It only contains coconut milk, banana, muesli and dates and it was absolutely delicious as well as being quite filling! I would highly recommend 😊😋👌😍

Well hello 👀 since I started the #whole30 I've been eating more eggs than I think my digestion was ok with, so it's smooth(ie) sailing this week with some delicious smoothies for the breakfast win this week. Here's what I got:

5️⃣ cauliflower rice
6️⃣ frozen coconut cubes from Trader Joe's
7️⃣ @vitalproteins collagen peptides
8️⃣ @bobsredmill flaxseed

Since I'm missing that granola like crazy, I made my own granola with coconut flakes and crushed pecans. I sprayed them with @chosenfoods avocado oil, sprinkled with cinnamon and placed in the oven for a few minutes on 375 😋 also added some hemp seeds and sunflower seed butter #collagencrew
