After watching any vegan doco...
Although watching them is super confronting, I’m so grateful for the teams who have put their time and energy into making these docos as they have opened my eyes, and many others’, to the unnecessary torture these beautiful beings are put through and have educated me to make better choices when it comes to what foods I eat. I feel a thousand times better since changing my diet and I’m yet to hear a vegan who’s ever regretted making the switch 💚💚 for more info please watch:

One of our traditions is to have scones thanksgiving morning while we watch the parade. This year is eggnog scones, made vegan for the first time. They didn’t rise as much as I’d like but the taste is spot on!
How are 300+ of our MP’s blind to the ever growing evidence that animals do feel pain and emotions. In my opinion this debate was never about recognising their emotions and ability to feel pain because that doesn’t require a debate. What I suspect this debate actually was, was a question of how important our Parliament deem the feelings of animals to be. I would say I was proud to be British. We are not perfect but in the grand scheme of things I would say the United Kingdom is a great place to be a part of. When our Parliament does this kind of thing however they really make me question my above opinion. As long as we continue to abuse and trap animals and treat them like property not everyone will get to see the beauty and vibrant personalities these victims have. It’s disgusting our general attitude towards them. Staying optimistic that veganism is becoming more widespread by the minute though so hopefully a future without animal cruelty isn’t too far away! 😬🙏🏼 (I know this is a high five emoji but in this case it’s a prayer emoji 😂) #againstanimalcruelty#vegan#veganlife#meatismurder#dairyisscary#politics#unitedkingdom#parliament#animalrights#vegansofig#future#optimism#dairyfree#vegangirl#animalabuse#standingupforchange#democracy#conservativessuck#humanssuck
Following the death of my grandpa to cancer, I was vegetarian for 11 years. 2 of those years I was a vegan. Today I am happy to say I am once again vegan (for good), and I am lucky to have people in my life who fully support it. Anyways, somehow I fell off the bandwagon a couple years ago and began eating dairy again and I blame it on the notion that I "needed" whey protein when I began bodybuilding. I'm ashamed to admit that I went against my own beliefs and attempted eating chicken to "help" build muscle a few months ago (yes you can build muscle as a vegan). Not only did I lose a sense of self and what I stand for, but I ended up in the emergency room. My body couldn't handle the meat and dairy I was pumping into it after 11 years on a plant based diet. (And I'll admit that for that short period of time I tried eating those animal products, I'd gag thinking about what I was eating and felt immense guilt. I was also sluggish and bloated). I went back to vegetarian immediately. Shortly after I watched a film on Netflix called "What the Health," I went directly to the kitchen and threw away anything that came from an animal. Because aside from the fact that those animals are exploited and tortured before slaughter, eating them causes (proven) numerous health problems. That one hour film led me to research further because it was so factual and eye opening. And believe me, I will forever be a vegan. For my health, for the animals, and for the planet (which most people don't realize we are destroying with factory farms). I also watched a five minute clip on YouTube called "Dairy is Scary," which further convinced me. I encourage you to watch the two films I mentioned, if not for the animals, for yourself and the future of our planet. There's soooo many vegan foods out there, I promise you it's not hard at all. I love this lifestyle and what I stand for, I just needed that slap of reality to remind me. #vegan#vegetarian#whatthehealth#knowledge#awakened#healthy#animalliberation#dairyisscary#tofurky#veganized @peta #thanksgiving#plantbased#veganlife 🌱 Disclaimer: I am not judging those who consume animal products, merely sharing my story as a vegan.
This is why I don't consume dairy. #Repost @brightsidefarmsanctuary (@get_repost)
Today I saved the life of this little baby after a tip off.
She was unwanted by the dairy industry. At 5 weeks of age ( a week ago) she was weaned from milk. She is weak and very malnourished. I found her all tucked up in a dirt yard with nothing to eat. She is too weak to even trot let alone run.
I got her home tonight she is now back on milk, she has lush green grass and calf muesli. She was dying because her milk is consumed by humans. That white hormone packed growth fluid designed for baby cows not humans.marketing at its finest. Obscene in my view. For them please go vegan. #dairyfree#dairytruth#dairyisscary#dairyfreeliving#vegan#veganfortheanimals#brightsidefarmsanctuary#baby#calf#bekind#animalcruelty#dairysucks#dairyisscary
Starting my day with my new favourite flavour of @coffeenotcoffee 🍓🍇🍒 My kind of pre workout 🙌🏼 Organic, gluten free, soy free, non GMO, no artificial flavours, colours, additives or preservatives and VEGAN friendly 🌱💚
Only a couple of weeks ago the dairy-free section of my local Tesco was just one end cabinet of the fridge aisle. Now it stretches all the way to the green line! So exciting to see real, tangible change, especially in a rural community 💚
Repost @meat_your_future: "As the world condemns Trump's consideration of lifting the trophy hunting ban, let’s not forget that countless billions of cows, pigs, fishes, chickens and other animals are unnecessarily exploited and killed every year to satisfy our whim to eat animal products.
For some reason, the needless killing of these billions of other animals doesn't cause the same outcry or indignation. But all of these animals suffer immensely, experience fear, and do not want to be killed. They fight with futility for their very lives until their tragic and violent end.
If you’re upset about the trophy hunting of elephants, tigers, rhinos, and other animals, then good, you should be. The violence and harm imposed on these animals by trophy hunters is violent, unjustifiable, and completely unnecessary.
BUT…if you’re upset about that while still eating, wearing and using other animals, then you need to think about that. Humans have exactly zero biological need to consume animal foods for our health (and, in fact, we can be far healthier avoiding them).
So, like trophy hunting, using animals for food, clothing and other purposes is violent, unjustifiable and completely unnecessary.
Additionally, the practice of breeding animals for food is causing severe and global environmental devastation and loss of biodiversity, as habitats are destroyed for the no. 1 cause of deforestation: animal agriculture.
So, if you think trophy hunting is wrong — if you think it's wrong to inflict harm and death on animals unnecessarily — then you are already compelled by your own beliefs to go vegan. It also happens to be one of the most positive impactful actions things you take for the environment and to help preserve the natural habitats on which elephants, tigers and so many other species depend.
These babies are ripped away from their mothers immediately after being born. This is their life until they are violently killed and for what really? Cancer causing, artery clogging "treats". Cows carry their babies for nine months, they form strong maternal bonds and cry out for their children for days after they've been stolen from them.
These babies will never know love, affection or kindness. Just confusion, loneliness, fear and violence.
The dairy industry is the most disgusting, barbaric and evil thing in existence. It is hell on earth.
I can't imagine anything more vile and corrupt than the exploitation of the mother child bond.
I'm getting to the point where I'm done being nice to people who don't give a shit about animals.

That’s all folks. Ended an era today by deleting all followers of @food_on_my_plates. It’s been real but I’m out ✌🏻. Happy to have “met” lots cool people who made living this lifestyle a lot easier when I first started over two years ago. 🤗 However, @food_on_my_plates was a crutch for me. I didn’t want people in my daily life knowing about it and I didn’t even want people to know it was me. So I’ve decided to say fuck that and start owning all parts of my life, regardless of how they are perceived 🤙🏼. So if you were one of the deleted followers... #itsnotyouitsme
Oh so good! The cinnamon bun french toast bake was delicious! Just like french toast...without all the dunking and flipping. Prep it the night before, and pop it in the oven in the morning. Easy peasy!
We usually have tofu scramble for breakfast on the weekends, so it's nice to change it up with something sweet. What's your favorite breakfast food?
I'm Hannah. This is a humorous shirt. It has lead to people giving me dirty looks. I have heard my fair share of bacon jokes but forgive me. My shirt is offensive. Yes it is a direct reference to boobs. Boobs aren't offensive. Human sexuality isn't offensive. My choice to stop eating dead flesh and show animals compassion should not upset you or cause you to think I am a freak. You may one day open your eyes. People change. I sure as hell have. If helping animals isn't enough for you, help yourself. The products you are eating are not safe. Profit over safety in the meat and dairy markets. With the fast production of these products there isn't the time to carefully inspect each animal before slaughter. These animals are in poor living conditions. You are sold diseased meat. They just cut off the sick parts and package the rest. Your dairy? Cows produce milk more often than naturally intended so they end up with mammary abscesses and where does all that puss go? You are consuming it. Think twice before you purchase. (And I am not claiming "moral superiority" I am not claiming to be better than anyone. I just want better for animals.) #selfportrait#dairyisscary#ditchmeat
Please educate yourselves about the realities of the dairy industry. As a breastfeeding mother it hurts to know that not all mothers are entitled to the same bond I have with my baby. They are raped and impregnated over and over again, to produce milk that SHOULD be there to feed their baby, but no. The mother and baby are separated (baby is killed for meat if male and if female their fate is the same as their mother) They are hooked up to a machine for several hours each day to drain them of their milk, which leads to severely painful infections. After a few years and the cow is spent, no longer able to produce milk to the quantities expected of them they are then killed and sold as meat. if you are #vegetarian take note. All so humans can use their milk. Despite what you may think we do not need actually need milk past infancy and we certainly do not need the milk from an entirely different species. This does not come from a place of judgement, I have not always been vegan and I have not always been a mother. But having my eyes opened to what goes on in such a vile industry, and being so grateful to have a sacred bond nourishing my baby, (and at times it has been REAL HARD) it is something I can not ignore and the empathy I feel for these beautiful creatures is something I cannot put into words. As Morrissey said, 'it is not normal, natural or kind.' We need to be kind to all species, have some compassion and #BEVEGAN#vegan#dairyisscary#humanmilkforhumanbabies#normalisebreastfeeding
for anyone who believes dairy is humane. female cows are forcibly impregnated, pumped full of hormones, and mechanically milked (often resulting in infections and sores that leech blood and pus into the milk). dairy farm babies are torn from mothers and auctioned to veal farms (males) or other dairy farms (females) to be slaughtered or subjected to the same abuses as their mothers and then similarly slaughtered once they’d served their purpose. mothers and babies alike cry out for one another, scared, confused, and heartbroken. know where your food comes from. #vegan#educateyourself#sentientbeings#compassion#notyourmomnotyourmilk#dairyisscary#inhumane
