I’m finally wrapping up this fighter- literally. Now that the sheath is done, I’m going to tear the knife apart, clean it and do a little refinishing before I epoxy the handles and she’s done.
This one will be available, we decided that instead of doing a bunch of rushed knives for the holidays, I’m going to hunker down and make some serious pieces to finish out 2017. Make sure you’re signed up for the newsletter on biltsharp.com to grab something for the season. We also plan to have a line of tamzarians and maybe some friction folders before the year is done too so keep an eye peeled 👁 🔍
Ok I’m excited about this one. Here’s the finished tomahawk. The head is 7.5” long, with a 2.5” cutting edge. I used my own “dragon’s fire” damascus. Shout out to @maumasifirearts for inventing the pattern. The haft is 19” long, curly maple. #axe#damascussteel#bladesmith#tomahawk
Here’s a kind of #ShopTalkTuesday
post where I share my approach to handle shaping. This is a follow up to my IG stories from yesterday.
