Ain't nothin' but a chicken wing 👐🏼 Been pretty absent on the blog/social media these past several days. A couple weeks ago, I had my routine CT scans and they found a questionable spot. A few days and a PET scan later, they determined the spot needs to be removed surgically. Not the news I wanted to hear, but we're still thanking God for the abundant blessings, one of which being there was only☝🏼spot. Through my journey with cancer, I've learned many things and one is that you have to focus on the positive 🤗
THE BEAUTY OF SIMPLICITY.
YOU'RE GONNA WANNA READ THIS. 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 There is, indeed, beauty in simplicity but that's not your story.
Your life has been far from simple or basic. It's had twist and turns and unbelievably unmistakeable pain yet somehow you still find beauty in the just how simply complex and full and, at times, overwhelming life can be.
You see beauty in Him. In His love. In His grace. In His mercy and find that while His love is far from heavy it brings a weight of freedom that none other can give.
While His heart for you is far detached there's a longer to eternally draw near.
And, in that convergence of this worlds is where you sit. Be it uncomfortable-you sit. Be it ever sometimes painful-you rest. Be it ever sometimes unknown-you trust.
And in that you find the beauty of the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The One who reveals the hidden beauty in what it looks like to simply abide in Him.

And thanks to my sweet friend @claraekim for igniting this fire in me today.
It's finally here! We're excited to launch a piece what we've been working on the last few months: the Andes coat. ⠀
For the production of this piece, we've partnered with a social enterprise in Peru that has committed to providing support for the most at-risk and vulnerable population in Peru: uneducated teenage girls. Through their programs they offer a crisis centre, daycare for young moms, and assisted living. After recognizing a need for employment opportunities for this population, they started a manufacturing facility to utilize Peru's long history with the skill of knitting and embroidery and provide employment for these young women. ⠀
We're incredibly excited about this partnership and look forward to sharing more about them in the next few weeks. Made of the softest Alpaca yarn, this crossover between a coat and a cardigan is both light and warm. This hand knit piece will be released next week for pre-order. ⠀
Want to know more about Fallow and our vision to reimagine retail? We've just revamped our "About Us" page- check it out on our website to see a few of the ways we're committed to giving you more. ⠀
Until next time,⠀
Today we had a lockdown drill. It gave me chills and I’ve felt like hell since with an ocular migraine and the beginnings of a sore throat. Not sure if they are related but I loathe the fact that we lockdown schools. It is truly terrifying.
Day 288/365 #daysofdelight "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us"
Today I am thankful for grace upon grace. For a Father who is loving and kind. For my Saviour, my best friend, and King. That even though I wander from Him, He is allowing me to fall more in love with Him every day. He is constantly showing me grace upon grace upon grace.
